When we stayed at POFQ we had to try the beignets. When we stayed at POP we had to try the cheesecake. What is a must try at CBR? We will be doing mostly QS meals this trip and would love to know what is yummy at CBR.

When we stayed at CBR we found the food to be distinctly average. Nothing was a "Must Do"

Wish I had found something incredible (for both of our sakes :) )

We've eaten at CBR twice at the food court when visiting--didn't care for anything. The first time we went, there were only two stations open (and this was at 1:00 in the afternoon) and when we went last year, we had burgers (I'd rather have gone to McDonalds). Now, maybe someone who stays there and eats there more frequently, has had better success.

I really loved the key lime tart they had at Shutters. I don't know if they have it at the food court or not.

I love CBR, its my favorite moderate. But I have to say their food court is somewhat average in that it doesn't have the standout items like the beignets, tie dye cheesecake and other such items some of the other food courts do. CBR was the very first moderate and its food court isn't quite as vast as say Pop's. And CSR being a convention resort has a wonderful food court with a ton of options but for families, it can be a hassle since its got a gratuity and its not next to the pool. So at least CBR is next to the main pool and is just a standard food court which for my family is very good. All that said, we we enjoyed our burgers, breakfast items and they had a very good cheesesteak sandwich when we ate there. Oh, and the reuben was really good. But none of those cool, themed type items. Which is too bad, they should do some sort of Jamaican Jerk type thing to go with the Caribbean theme.

Now what does stand out at CBR is the bar! Get yourself something fruity and fun, grab a hammock on the beach and watch Illuminations. That is when CBR just outshines any other mod because due to its closeness to Epcot, you have some awesome views around the resort of Illuminiations.

And Shutters the full service place is very good. Better than Maya Grill or Boatrights in my opinon. The coconut shrimp and prime rib were exceptional the night we ate there. The food court was just your basic food court. But still very handy to have and we thought all our food was tasty.

Oh, and the station called the Bridgetown Broiler is always closed at lunch. It a dinner only kind of thing and it does have some very good options, like the salmon and rotissiere chicken dinner.

Honestly the food at the mods and values are all very similar. We have eaten at the CBR CS many many times and never had a bad experience

We liked Shutters:goodvibes . I also liked the cheese burgers at the food court:love: . We did not have the dining plan then so we paid OOP for all of our meals and ate at the food court often and liked it very much. I would go there again for sure. :)

I've stayed at CBR many times, and the best thing there is the bar! Go to Banana Cabana and get a frozen drink (the pina colada was my favorite) and walk around the water over the bridge. Very good!!!!!!:thumbsup2

and I agree, Shutters is very good too. The food court is good, but average. Make ADRs at Shutters instead!

I completely agree!!!:thumbsup2

Thank you all and I will definitely be trying Shutters. I also like the idea of a nice drink and stroll on the beach. Thanks for the help.

My husband swears by the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and looks forward to it every trip. He even likes it better than the one he can get at Hooters which is famous for the buffalo chicken!

From what I understand the best thing at the bar is closing time. Watch people try to find their rooms, priceless. :lmao: The CMs are on hand with the golf carts to help though....:rotfl2:

In general we found the CMs, esp. at the food court very helpful even making suggestions for us to maximize our credits (combo meal vs ala carte, using final CS credits, etc.)

We liked a few items there, some basic and some pleasant surprises.

1. We didn't have any, but the cup cakes and cookies in the grab and go area are huge and I mean huge.

2. I was amazed at how fresh my side salad with my pizza meal was, I ate it without dressing.

3. Grab and Go area is very, very diverse: sushi, fruit and cheese platters, ice cream novelites, bakery items, sliced apples with caramel dip, etc.

4. We loved our huge breakfast platters which at the time came with two drinks so two of us could easily share the meal.

5. Our 6yo would say the pizza baby!

6. Not unique to CBR, but having Mickey Bars and Itzakadoozie available up to midnight, ahh!
