My 12y/o is involved with 4h. She LOVES photography, and has competed well over the past few years. (1sts and Honorable Mentions at the State Level...competing against much older kids.) She has an eye for the abstract and just really enjoys it.

She also LOVES all things Disney. I would like to find 10-20 GREAT shots for her to focus on during our upcoming trip. Something out of the norm, that will stand out as a wow factor. She can enter 1 black and white salon, 1 color salon (11x14 print mounted on 16x20) and then a collage of black and white and a collage of color.

Can anyone help her plan her shots before we go?

I totally respect your wish to find some things for her to focus on.

But as someone who enjoys the same sort of photography...the beauty in such shots is that they just appear. You're looking around and you see something amazing.

If I try to replicate shots others have done...well they just never appear for me so I can't, and it feels odd to do that.

With what you've said about your DD, I bet she'll find things that are WAY better than what we could suggest. Or at least more unique. :flower3: Best of luck to her!

Thanks for the thoughts. I think I just wanted to be intentional. Last year, we went to Savannah and Charleston for vacation. I am sure that there were some VERY amazing pictures to be had, but I was enjoying vacation too much to stop and let her take them! (She uses my camera) My thoughts this year were that if we had some ideas, we could just work them into the schedule...if that makes ANY sense at all! lol

I'm no photographer but Epcot had LOTS of things that I thought, wow that would be a beautiful picture. When all the countries are all lit up at night before IllumiNations it's gorgeous, plus IllumiNations itself would produce some pretty awesome pictures. If you get a good spot for the Castle projection show before Wishes in Magic Kingdom that is pretty awesome. Really, all the parks are beautiful, Hollywood Studios was probably the least photogenic in my opinion but I am sure she will find some awesome shots.
