We have never been to Disney during the Holidays, we are really looking forward to it.

We are renting a car so we can look at the different resorts & their holiday decorations. We are only going to be there for 4 days so we can only spend 1 evening resort hopping. (I am thinking our first evening we arrive)

We are staying at the Poly.

So, what resort are a MUST see for holiday decorations? I know Wilderness Lodge is, so we will go see that one, but what about the others?
We are thinking we should be able to hit 4 different resorts (not including the Poly) what 4 resorts should we hit? And why do you think they are a must see?

Also is it easy to just resort hop, can we park in the parking lot without paying a fee?

Thanks!

I would also suggest....Grand Floridian, AKL, Boardwalk....

but I wouldn't miss the Grand Floridian...

Must sees are:

1. Wilderness Lodge
2. Grand Floridian
3. Boardwalk
4. Beach Club
5. Yacht Club
6. Polynesian
7. Animal Kingdom Lodge (their gingerbread display is outside Boma's)

Would not bother at the Contemporary. Very little there last year. :earsgirl: ::MickeyMo

In addition to WL, you've got to stop at the Grand Floridian. Their decorations are truly wonderful.

Beach Club & Yacht Club's decorations were nice last year, but not on the same level as GF.

If I could only see 4, my picks would be:

Wilderness Lodge
Grand Floridian
Boardwalk
Animal Kingdom Lodge

Stupid question but do the resorts try to theme their Christmas decorations?

Like, does the Animal Kingdom Lodge's decor carry over to their Christmas decorations as well?

Yes, they do which makes it fun. All the resorts do, including the All Stars. Another option for resort hopping is to schedule dinner at the Beach Club on a day at Epcot. Speaking of, Epcot is a definate must see - we spend several days there during Christmas.

Terk-1 called it just right! I definitely agree!!
You can go by monorail to see Grand Floridian, and Contemporary from Poly!
Then boat to Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Clubs!
Also, take a boat from Contemporary to WL!
Animal Kingdom Lodge is either by bus or car!
Enjoy Christmas time is beautiful at WDW!! We found that out last year and are returning this December!!:earsgirl:

Thank you everyone.

I didn't know the Broadwalk was a must see. I will have to put it on our list ;)
We will do that one while we are checking out the Yacht & Beach Club

The only one I am wondering if we will be able to get to is AKL. I think we are going to try really hard to make a stop over there.

Thanks again, you all been a big help, like always ::yes::

I agree GF and WL are the must-sees. However I liked the gingerbread carousel at BC a lot more than the monstrous gingerbread "store" at GF, which was just "big for the sake of big".

The tree at GF manages to be both huge and tasteful, and the floral arrangements are beyond compare.
