So we just got back from WDW two weeks ago. A very last minute trip due to the fact that at our 20 week ultrasound we found out we were having twins. Suddenly our August trip had to be moved up to May because they won't let me fly after May, darn doctors. So everything fell into place and it was an amazing trip. We got to do so many things I wanted to do with my kiddos and it was DD's first trip and she just loved the whole thing. I almost cried out of shear joy and pregnancy hormones about 10 times a day. So the last day we are at Hollywood Studios. I am checking the guide for showtimes and such things, we got in an hour early for the Playhouse Disney breakfast. I see there is a Jedi training show over by Star Tours. Hmmm how could I not have heard about this, DH and DS who is 5 love Star Wars. So we plan to head over for the first showtime. They have this cool stage with blast doors built behind it. We browse the gift shop where there is far too many cool things to buy. Then decide we had better get over and get a good spot in front of the stage. At which point Dh says to me," I am gonna go get my face painted like Darth Maul I'lll be back in 5 minutes." He disappeared into the crowd before I could say anything. We get to the stage and are waiting when a crowd warmer or handler appears. He explains that some kids will be picked to go up on stage and participate but to get picked by the Jedi master you have to stand in front jump up and down and scream. DS has no problem doing this he is so desperate to meet a Jedi master. The Jedi master comes out and does his bit is rather funny and a good actor in my opinion. I don't think I have ever seen DS so excited and I am seriously praying that the Lord will help my son get picked or he is gonna be crushed. He does get picked! With about 11 other kids and they all go on stage get Jedi robes and lightsabers. They then take the Jedi oath and start their training. DH has reappeared with full face Darth Maul makeup. The Jedi master shows them this lightsaber combination along with some funny bits for the audience. Then there is smoke and music and storm troopers. Out the blast doors comes DARTH VADER. The kids look like they are gonna pee their pants. One by one the kids get to fight Darth Vader with a lightsaber and we even hear some wisdom from Yoda. In the end the kids fight off Darth Vader and good conquers evil. The look on my son's face was worth a million dollars. It was like his biggest dreams come true. I did tear up but you couldn't tell due to my sunglasses. Afterwards we went back to the gift shop and let him buy some cool stuff. DH was so excited for him he was like a kid himself. I don't know how long they will do this show for but it is highly worth it if your kids like Star Wars. DS will not forget it for a very long time and it was highly magical for everyone.

I am glad that your son got to experience such a cool once in a lifetime thing. We are leaving on Friday and booked our trip just because of Star Wars weekends. Even thought about getting the boys costumes for the day(but since have changed our minds about that due to the heat and I dont want to end up carrying it all when they shed it). We are hoping that DS1 gets picked also. We will try our very best to help make that happen.;)

:dumbo: We will be there this weekend!! :sulley:

My DNephew would LOVE that! I am so jealous :worship: . I hope he gets picked this weekend.

I'm so glad that your little guy got to do something so exciting. :yay:
