Must see Beach

We will be in the DL area in just two weeks and would like to drive to a beach near by to see... Which would you recommend?

Closest beaches to DL are Huntington, Newport, Laguna. We usually go to Huntington, lots to do and see near the pier, yet the further you get away from the pier you can find solitude. We had a great BBQ at Bolsa Chica beach nearby, and there were only a few people. Saw dolphins jumping in the surf!

We visited Huntington and Laguna. We preferred Laguna!

Charlie's Chili and Crab Cooker at Newport are as must hit as DL itself.
