We will be taking our DS who will be 18 months the end of April to AK. What are some attraction we should make sure we don't miss?

DD, 16 months, LOVED TriCeraTop Spin! We spent one morning at AK, then went back the next morning for Donald's breakfast. While I was waiting in line to check in she was walking around with DH and spotted that ride...OMG! She threw a "mini-fit" because she wanted to ride! After breakfast she rode it three times in a row and would have kept on going if we would have let her...lol

That is really the only thing she showed much interest in at AK, other than the characters at breakfast. She loved them, too!

I would think the Boneyard would be a big hit. Your little one can dig - sort of like a gigantic sand box. There is a petting zoo too at the AK which involves a train ride to get to but my son when he was 2.5 really liked it. Those 2 activites will really suck up the time though! My 2.5 yr old liked the Lion King show as well - YMMV on that one! Have fun!

Our youngest went to AK at barely 1 and again at 18 months and LOVED the Safari ride. He also loved the train ride to Rafiki's. We rode round and round on that baby!

He liked the Boneyard, but it drove me nuts! He is faster than I am and I was worried about losing him!

The "It's a Bug's Life" show in the tree will probably cause a quick exit when the spider's drop out of the ceiling (if you make it that far). The problem we had with the boneyard was little kids getting run over by big kids (with parents that didn't seem to care).

our DS who will be 5 has always loved the boneyard. he loved playing on the slides and digging in the sand. He also enjoyed the river rapids for a tall 3yr old. He didnt get wet though! Dad got soaked! the safari and the train were fun oh, and as mentioned before avoid its a bugs life 3d and tarzan rocks is very load for a small child

Just got back from trip with 2 1/2 DD. She LOVED Rafiki's Planet Watch. The petting zoo there is WONDERFUL. These goats are never FED by hand. So they do not expect it and do not fight over you (my peeve with petting zoos). Here you brush the goats and sheep. LOVE IT! Also.. the train ride is lots of fun.

Flights of Wonder is really cool. Sit in the middle just left of center and they'll get a bird just over head.

Tri-spin (whats the whole name). Its in DinoLand and Just like dumbo. DD LOVED this. In DinoLand the Boneyard is a HUGE hit. They love the slides, and climbon things.. then go over the bridge and its a dig site. Not annoying sand mom.. nope.. its this weird small stone gravel that isnt messy and shakes off VERY easily! Where does Disney get this stuff? (also.. on the way to the dinoland bridge, just off to the right is a path to a landing where you see Tiger, Pooh, and Eeyor)

You MUST go to Camp Minnie Mickey. There is GREAT character spots here. The LIONKING is a MUST SEE. Even for young kids. The music, colors, and activity is WONDERFUL.

Bugs Life, too much for this age I think. Rapids, again too much. The safari.. I dunno. DD would have enjoyed it much better if it weren't so darn cold that day. When they went fast the cold air got her face and watered her eyes. Besides that I's a great attraction.

Although you'd enjoy the nature paths and the animals in Discovery Island. .they may not. Catherine liked the birds and flamingos.. but that's about it.

Lastly.. AKs parade is cool. I really liked it! Its fun and colorful.. very active!

Can you tell I wanna go back? NOW!

Good luck & HAVE FUN!
