What are you must have packed items? Making my packing this this week and would love advise :) Thanks

I always bring in the park:

Glasses
Sunglasses
Camera/Memory Card/Batteries
Penny List (If you collect the pressed pennies)
Pennies
Quarters
Autograph Book
Large Marker (Easier for characters to write with)
Blanket to sit on for Fantasmic
Bottled Water
Snacks
Hand Sanitizer
Kleenex
Hand Lotion
Sunscreen
Lip Balm
Headache Medicine

Sunscreen (both lotion and spray types), ziplocs for snacks, hand cleaner, I also buy the big wet ones to clean the hotel phones, knobs, switches, remote, etc., shinny pennies and quarters for the presses, game plan for your days, cell phone chargers, cameras and chargers and extra memory sticks, room in your suitcase for lots of DL treats

- Comfortable wallking shoes (and socks if needed)
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- camera
- Memory stick
- battery
- extra batteries / charger
- some way to transfer pictures from memory card daily or separate memory cards for each day
- cell phone
- cell phone charger
- money
- credit card
- ID
- some sort of bag, pack, whatnot to take to the park for carrying your stuff

We also bring cheap panchos for Splash Mountain and GRR. We put them on just for the rides and then leave them for others to use. Normally there are folks right there who want them. We get the 2/ $1.00 ones
Also, bring a ziploc that is big enough for your cell phone and cameras. Sometimes a big slosh of water will get in the ride vehivle and ruin your stuff.

Also-
*small first aid kit with 2 bandaids, a couple of aspirin, 2 pepto tabs, 1 immodium, 1 allergy pill, (we bought the little white 4inchx4inch first aid kit from Johnson and Johnson- take out the extra bandaids and fill with the meds)
*lanyard for park hoppers and fastpasses if you are not getting one from your vacation package
* List of park hours, entertainment schedule and Fastpass rides if you are not familiar with them. Disney includes this in their maps but it's nice to have it on a small index card for easy reference

I was just asking myself this same question. Not sure how to make it a link. If you go to Mousesavers.com on the left hand side under find discount and deals click on the DL one. Then click on Time is Money. It then has a list of what is essential it also has an Ultimate packing list along with tips for packing better. It's a word document so you can change it to meet your needs then print it out. Hope that helps thanks for asking the question!:thumbsup2

Go to the dollar Store and buy glow sticks. They are really fun at night. Micheals has them sometimes 15 for $1. We share with the kids around us and they get so excited!

Thank you for mentioning this and thanks to brookies_mommy for asking the question. :)

Some things that we also packfor the room:

*cheap power strip to charge all our electronics. There are never enough
plugs.
*over the door shoe organizer...we hang it on the bathroom door and makes
for a much neater bathroom counter.
*small colapsible bin(normally at the Dollar store) to place everything from
our pockets and to keep the nightstand/dresser clean.
*softsoap for the kids handwashing in the room.
*hand sanitizer...Target has them with a clip to easily attatch to backpacks.
*baby wipes...for all the dripping ice cream and sticky sucker hands!

Hope this helps !!:thumbsup2

I found the best glow sticks at Smiths Market place (a Kroger store). It was with the crayons and normal school stuff. One end is a flashlight the middle the glow stick, and the other end a whistle. If you press the button once the flashlight turns on. Twice the middle turns into a glow stick. The third time the glow stick blinks. Fourth time turns it off. It is an LED one and says it will last for 200 + hours. It was a little pricy, but I thought is was worth it $3.99.

You win!! :dogdance: I didn't even think of that! Excellent advice! :)

I've run the gamut from packing everything but the kitchen sink to the barest minimum. I've learned that the closer I get to barest minimum, the better! I don't bring food or drink stuff, dressy clothes, sanitizers, or basically anything extra. I bring minimal makeup. I bring some ziplocs. I bring my fann--er, rump pack. I bring my gift cards, coupons, AP, ID, debit card, AAA card (have never used it, but just in case), my Entertainment Card if staying at Hojos, and some cash. I wear the same thing more than once :scared1: and I don't worry about pajamas :cool1: because I bring sweats in the winter and in summer...well, not much needed :rolleyes1. I have my cell phone and charger, a few pens, a book, and some crossword puzzle pages ripped out of my book from home.

If it's cooler weather, I bring the cheap dollar store ponchos and leave them behind when I'm done. I rarely bring a camera anymore because I already have a billion or so pictures of us at DL :rotfl:

These days I usually manage to bring everything in my backpack. Makes it very easy on the plane and getting around.

Medication. I always pack some Pepto, Advil and cough syrup. I would rather be prepared with these things than have to go searching in the middle of the night.

So would be it better then to have a backpack than a messenger bag for the parks? From what I understand it gets down into the low 60's at night, so thinking will need to have a light weight jacket or something to bring with us in the parks and then a blanket to sit and watch shows/parades...won't fit in anything smaller I don't think.
