Well, I made an ADR for Raglan Road MONTHS ago. We are going to DTD on Monday, Nov. 26. There will be 5 adults and it is our only adults night out..we are of course headed to PI right after dinner. Last year, DH and I had a lovely dinner if not for the slow (not terrible) service. The other 3 adults are first timers and I am looking for someplace GOOD. I also don't want to spend all night running all over the world just for dinner so I kinda wanted to go somewhere at DTD area. SO, now I am hearing TERRIBLE reviews of RR. WHAT TO DO??? I did make an ADR at Portobello which I am not sure if that will be any better from what I have now read!! What about Turf Club at SSR?? Anyone have an opinion about this!!

I have always enjoyed my meal at PYC. I say if you had a good meal at Ragland than go there. Not every person enjoys the same type of cuisine

Most of the reviews I have read recently about Raglan Rd has been about the POOR service!! Several people have reported dining for over 3 hours!!! YIKES!! I don't want to risk our evening being ruined by that!! But, I guess you take a risk of bad service anywhere right?

In every restaurant in America, other than 4 star spots, there will always be a slower waiter or a slow kitchen on occasion. If you knock out every place you've ever read a bad review of, you won't be eating anything your entire vacation.

We have had nothing but great service and food at RR. It's my first pick of places at DTD to take visitors. In addition, usually when out with friends, slower service doesn't bother us much because we enjoy the entertainment and drinks and want to hang out anyways. But y'all may want to eat and get on with it and thats okay. If you're in a big hurry to get onto something else, you could always eat counter service. There are some good ones down there at DTD.

I'd stick with RR personally as it's the best atmosphere of spots down there. Don't stress =)

I have had bad service there in the past. Some friends were there last week and said the service was fine.

I wouldn't put complete stock in what the reviews on the board say. And the food is pretty good.

We love Captain Jacks - they have a 2 lobster tail dinner there to die for....
Always did DDP and they are a 1 TS - so worth the money! WOuld eat there even OOP

We've done Ragalan Road and had a good meal and good service. True--the restaurant has been blasted lately by some reviews, but it probably has just as many (or more) good reviews.
We're going again in December and I'm not thinking of changing.

Raglan Road is my clear favorite of the restaurants that you mentioned. I've seen a lot of good reviews for it, the bread and butter pudding might be the best dessert on property; it's far and away my favorite spot to eat in Downtown Disney. It's up to you, I'd definitely say to stick with it.

My wife and I are fans of RFC and the food was good and the portions were big. It was fairly expensive though (I shouldn't be surprised by this fact).

We also like Planet Hollywood- everytime we go, the wait is minimal, but the service is hit and miss. Sometimes smaller tables like us lose out on the attention of the larger parties- but this is pretty typical no matter where you go.

We love Raglan Road! :thumbsup2 We found the service as well as the food and the atmosphere to be great when we ate there twice during our last trip!
