MUST Get's for Arrival Basket????

You guys have such great ideas! YOu must def take pics of the basket you create! What an awesome thing to do! I tried to figure out a way to have a stuffed animal waiting in the room for ds2 when we arrived but I just got the "they don't know what room you are in so can't put it there". I then thought about getting one to have waiting behind the desk for them to hand to Ethan when we arrive for check in. The smile on his little face would be priceless. We already have a few we got him to take with us but for him to actually get one when we arrive would be too cute!

Anyone know how I can do that? I would love to find him a Pinocchio, Jiminy, Dumbo, Nemo, or something along those lines. I could not find them at the Diseny store though. We were only able to find him a mickey, donald, goofy and pluto. Any thoughts would be great!

Thanks to this board I think our trip is going to be just great! I swear I am just so very glad that I found this board. I know so many things now that I would not have had a clue about had I not started comming here. Ok, I am being emotional now. I think the 10 day dance is making me that way!

I saw your post about your tickets being delivered to your neighbor.......... I wouldv'e been "freaking" too!!! LOL Glad to hear it worked out!!!

I know, I've been on these boards for a couple of years now......... they are awesome, and I'm still learning new things!!!! It is great!!

What we are hoping to do is have DH manage to get the basket to a CM at check in, before DS see's it!!!! If not, we may just have it "delivered" to the room....... of course we'd just leave it out!! I'm also considering getting something from Feralpeg......... she's a member here, and she does beautiful gift boxes and things.......... You could also go through the Disney florist, to have something delivered. DH is also ordereding a mini wedding cake for my b-day from the Grand Floridian Bakery.......... if you haven't seen them, do a search here for them.......... they are beautiful!!!!

I've also been very lucky so far with finding things on Ebay............ I'm not sure when your trip is, or if you have enough time for that, but you can find good deals sometimes. If you have to wait until you've gotten down there, you could try the Disney outlet store, I think it's in the belz factory outlets......... someone will correct me if that's wrong. OR, after check in, you could maybe get a CM to bring your DS his "pal's" to your room at a certain time??? I don't know if they will do this, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Oh, as for the other "pals", try walmart............ I saw some cute one's just the other day, they had nemo, donald, mickey, minnie, monsters inc., the incredibles, dumbo.......... they were cute and around $6 or $7, I think.

Last year I got DS the Buzz Lightyear pj's, light up slippers, and some other buzz items, I didn't do a basket, or any of the other things, but I did get him some other stuffed characters.......... they were a suprise, but nothing like what I'm doing for him this year. I did find that he loves the light up spinners, so I got an extra buzz one..... which will go in this basket. I'd suggest those to anyone needing idea's. Once it get's dark............ it seems like every little one at the park has one!!!


Just as a side note, I got ds an epcot passport book kit on ebay this morning for $9.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, that may be a place some of you want to look for items. ( Also got his pal mickey, and sorcerer's light up hat off ebay, for VERY good prices).

a deck of Mickey cards so he can play "Go Fish" on the plane w/you? There are also Princess decks and Pooh decks, and maybe more. I have also been collecting Disney Viewmaster Reels to take on the plane to keep dd busy en route. Since dd just started kindergarten, she has been fascinated with some of the clip-on plush toys that some of the bigger kids have on their bookbags. I was thinking of getting her one or two for her bookbag.
