Must-do's for May?

I am hoping to do May as well. I had to cancel my cruise and so, now, I am now praying that I can do Disney in May. I know the weather will be great, so I am just curious to see what part of May they have offered free dining...Good Luck with your plans..

the flower & garden festival at EPCOT is scheduled march 5- may 18, 2014. the past F&GFs have had:
- amazing topiaries (of characters, scenes from different Disney movies, etc).
- gardening classes & exclusive merchandise
- Flower Power concerts (mostly well known performers from past decades - better than the F&WF concerts, in our, and many other's, opinion)
- butterfly house (the life cycle of butterflies, with hundreds of butterflies flying around guests, plants & topiaries)
- gardening seminars, often given by HGTV "celebrities"
- recently, they have had kiosks (a la the F&WF) at various countries, where one can sample different foods/drink from each (most food samplings are around $5)

star wars weekends (DHS) usually start mid-may.

we have visited WDW late april thru early may for quite a few years. it is a fantastic time to visit, with lower crowds, little to no rain, temps usually in the mid/high 80's. infrequently, temps have risen into the 90's, and dropped into the mid/low 60's at night.
larger crowds, more rain, & higher temps occur the later in May it gets.

hth :)
