Must Do's for 8 Year old Boy???

This will be our first trip to Disney ever. We will be going for the x-mas season Dec 16th through the 23rd and we will be staying ta the Wildreness cabins. We do plan to go to Universal for one day. We will be traveling with three children DS8, and DDs2. I want to do some princess stuff but I really have to focus on my 8 year old getting the most of this trip as he will definately remember this forever Disney seems to have so much for little girls for instance the BBB and the CRT. What do they have for boys?
What are some must do's in each park for my 8 year old boy?

Does your son like roller coasters? For my DS7, Rockin' Rollercoaster in HS is his very favorite ride. Other must-dos include Fantasmic, Big Thundermountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain.

Chef Mickey's has a great mix of characters for both boys and girls (Mickey, Donald, Minnie, sometimes Chip and Dale). And the food is good too. Hoop De Doo and Whispering Canyon are also good for both boys and girls.

DisneyQuest (videogames) might be a good afternoon for DS with just one parent.... maybe when the girls are doing BBB?

Does your DS like pirates they are opening this up at MK in Adventureland before your trip, it is like BBB for boys and girls but pirate themed:

"The Pirates League will allow boys and girls to transform themselves into Pirates, and allow their dreams to come true as they join Captain Jack Sparrow's crew. Participants will have a pirate identity, be transformed into a pirate by a WDW Pirate Master, and have access to a secret treasure room. They will be able to unlock clues to additional pirate encounters in Magic Kingdom."

My 7 year old DD thinks princesses are for babies now and wants to do the girl pirate make-over which has similar pricing to BBB for just the basics. There also is a new Wishes pirate themed cruise which I want to do at night after my DD's makeover, it sounds like part of this cruise will be a meet and greet with Captain Hook, Mr. Smee and Peter Pan:

"The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, will become available to all, regardless of party size, starting July 13, 2009. Can be booked 90 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. It requires a credit card guarantee and has a 48 hour cancellation policy. Our DS9 loved Expedition Everest, Big Thunder Railroad, & Tower of Terror. He was really excited about seeing Indiana Jones but was disappointed since it wasn't what he was expecting.
He did the Pirate Adventure cruise by himself and said it was fun but he wouldn't do it again. He was definately the oldest kid on there.
He really liked spending an afternoon with Dad at Epcot doing "big stuff" that our 2y old twins would not have been interested in.
We didn't do it but maybe going to DTD to T-Rex ??
I suggest just finding something he is interested in and make a big deal out of it for him. Our DS2 loved riding the monorail and went with Dad for a morning just the 2 of them riding all around and he got a card form the driver which he really thought was cool.
Whatever you decide, I'm sure your son will love it, it is Disney after all!!

My just turned 9 year old loves Rockin Roller Coaster, BTMRR, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Splash Mountain, Test Track and basically all the fast roller coaster type rides. He had a ball playing in the Bone Yard at Animal Kingdom, loved Trex at DTD, the Lego store at DTD and we both absolutely enjoyed doing the Kim Possible adventures at Epcot. We also got his face painted to look like a tiger at Epcot and he got a ton of compliments. He also really liked Hoop de Doo even though I wasn't sure he would. We didn't do it this trip but have in the past gotten his hair painted at the Barbershop on Main Street with a Mickey head and pixie dust. Getting the washable tattoos is also high up on the "cool" scale along with shopping for Bakugan and Pokemon at Japan in Epcot.

Believe me, there is a lot for boys to do!
