Must do / see at Beach Club

OK...so I am going to the Beach Club for the first time this April. My wife and I are leaving the kids at home and coming down for my Birthday. We are totally psyched about this trip. My question is simple, if you could only do one thing while you were at the Beach Club what would it be? I want to know what everyones favorites are so we can compile a list of "have too's" while we are there. Thanks for your help with this

SAB,a stroll around the BW, eating at Beaches and Cream,and just walking the grounds. Just gong to the lobby and sitting and taking it all in.
Then a walk to Epcot in the evening for dinner and margarita while watching the Fireworks.
There is nothing I enjoy more than that.
Okay this is not helping me any at all I so want to go back

Without the kids?? Sleep in!!!! Just do what you want, when you want. A long dinner! Go see all the things in Epcot that the kids can't or don't want to do.

Might I also suggest a short walk to... Jellyrolls?!? (If you are the type that like to go out in the evening)

We've never eaten at Yachtsman Steakhouse, and we like Le Cellier. Do you think the two are comparable? We're willing to try something different.

Dh and I did the adult only trip to Disney last May. My advice Sleep In!

If you enjoy music from the Sixties you'll Love Flower Power. Check
the schedule for shows at Epcot and stroll over. Grab some Fish & Chips
at England, a pastry at France and enjoy the shows. Also there is the
British Invasion at England if you like the Beatles. Now I want to go!!!

Oh Geez! Pick just one of my favorite things...that's tough....guess it would be laying on a lounger at SAB sipping on a fruity frozen drink just brought to me by one of the pool waitresses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's exactly what I plan to do in ten days, weather permitting!!!!!

DH and I were there for our 25th anniversary last year and LOVED it. Like everyone says eat at Beaches & Cream and just stroll around the grounds, but we enjoyed sitting on the beach at night and just "chillin". Ah, that's the life!

As a matter of fact, I have already booked our 26th anniversary trip for BCV and what a week it will be!

Take a morning stroll to the Boardwalk Bakery to pick some pastries for the two of you to enjoy in your room. The cheese danish is delish. I seem to enjoy the walk to and from the Bakery in the early morning even more than the sweets, with the boats passing by sounding their horns, the sun coming up and the area coming alive. I think Art (Mr. Art to our kids) has a heart that is pure gold, make sure to wish him well. SAB as the others said is a must. Make sure to take advantage of all of the counter service restaurants in Epcot, we use them as a carry out service of sorts. If I had it my way we would walk over to watch Illuminations every night.

Oh yeah, as for Beaches and Cream. It's a must. Make sure to get there early because it is very small and tends to get busy. Get a cheeseburger and a sundae. The Gellato in the Marketplace is very good as well.

All this sounds great! My wife and I will also be going to the BCV this July 4th for 3 nights without the kids! We just got moved from OKW, and it's our 10 years anniversary! We already have reservations for the Yachtsman's Steakhouse! With all these posts I can't wait!!

Can you request specific room / view types at BCV? If so what are the best? We are staying in a studio...

To be honest I don't think the view from BCV are all that spectacular. There are no great views and the rest is really up to preference. I would suggest going to http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/ and look at the room views that Diszip has collected.

There is the pool view - which is fairly straight forward, unless you are at the far end near the canal/parking lot. Then you don't have a view of the pool.

There is Epcot view - which you can't request anymore (not sure why) It gives you the view of the backside of Epcot and the high fireworks ,but also gives you a view of Epcot Resorts Blvd.

There is the Woods view - which sometimes give you and Epcot view and other times gives you a view of the BC and ... the woods.

Finally the Courtyard view - which is fun if you like to watch the people come and go and view the BC.
