Must do rides?

I'm planning a trip to Disney in December and decided to tack on a day at universal. I was at universal maybe 7 years ago, just before Transformers opened. My main priority is seeing the Christmas stuff and Diagon Alley, but I'd like to catch up on some of the new things that weren't there last time I went. It looks like they have more new rides/shows than I realized, so with limited time, what should I put on the must do list?

Skull Island (Kong) is very good and different.

Both main Harry Potter rides are excellent.

Jurassic Park river should have a minimal wait in December and you don't get too wet.

The Mummy should always be on the list.

I really liked Transformers, similar to Spiderman in design and both are quite well done.

The single rider lines are great for many rides, especially for re-rides. That goes extra for Forbidden Journey as you can't see your seatmates anyway. But if you are a big HP fan, consider going through the line once if it isn't too long, the castle is cool. And the single rider line on Gringotts skips the story of the ride.

The roller coasters (Hulk & RRR), while good, are really just roller coasters so I would prioritize other rides first.

Download the Universal app for ride waits, and plan to be at the gayest before they open (factor in parking and security). There is just something so gratifying about walking onto a ride that will have an hour wait later in the day.

That’s good to know about the Gringotts line because my trip will either be solo or with a person who hates thrill rides so I should be able to use single rider for most things, but wouldn’t want to miss the story!

Good to know about the show too, I was hoping to catch one if time permits.

In order:
Forbidden Journey
Spider-Man
Mummy
Hulk
Gringotts
Transformers
Jurassic Park
Kong
Hogwarts Express
Haven't been on Fast and Furious but it'll be open when you go

Those are my must-dos. If you have time, Simpsons and Despicable Me are fine.

Love the Mummy! We try to go on it as many times as possible.

FJ
Transformers
Simpsons
Gringotts
Hulk
Spider Man
Kong
Despicable Me
Shrek

I would skip the wet rides, we get soaked to the bone on Jurassic Park, Dudley's and Popeye's.
