Hi everyone

First time 4 night cuisers in need of help.

With soooo many wonderful menus and dishes, what are the must have do not miss items from the menus.

So many things look and sound good.

We have seen the menus and with so little time what is really not to be missed.

With only just over 2 weeks to go we need some help.

Thanks everyone

You might want to wait a couple of weeks to ask this question. Recent rumors here have said that new menus are being rolled out onboard this week (at least on the Magic...not sure about the Wonder). I'm not sure how different they will be from past menus.

Edited to add...I see you don't have a couple of weeks to wait! Have a great cruise!

Your server will be happy to bring you 2 selections if you just can't decide on one!

Try everything, especially foods that most people don't normally eat, like escargot. It is a great experience. If you don't like it, they will bring you something else. Enjoy.

We enjoyed EVERYTHING we ate, except the duck. It is true you can order two (or more) entrees if you can't decide. I suggest ordering something you have never tried before. It's a great opportunity to try new "stuff" and not feel guilty for wasting it if you find you don't like it!! DH really, really loved the fillet mignon.

Have a super great trip!! But...don't over eat! We did that on our first cruise, and we felt miserable!! We have found that skipping lunch or just grabbing a small bite, made us enjoy our dinner so much more!!!!!

Have FUN!!!:wave2:

AND I thought it was a question about what's expected of you on the cruise! :teeth:

Phil, Trish, Amy

Are you on late or early dinner. As we are on the same cruise maybe we can meet up and compare notes after dinner (lol). I have been told we must try the shrimp, steak, definatley the Chocolate Souflee in Palos and not forgetting the Mickey ice cream bars.

See you soon.

::yes:: YEP!

Everyone raves about the Palo souffle, but I thought the pistachio cake was wonderful, dense, almost like a linzer torte. The non-menu-regular special at Palo was incredible, mahi on spinach. Second the pass on the duck. The lunch buffets have a made to order feature. If you let the chef have a free hand, the Asian and Italian pastas were great! The first time I had the strawberry shortcake at Animators it was yucky, but last trip, very good.

I'm sure the souffle is great---but do they serve creme brulee? If so, how is it?

Thanks,
Greg

I had bad strawberry shortcake as well - really dry and I've had better strawberries and whipped cream from cans. But it was the only thing I had that wasn't good.

They have good creme brulee.

To me - Mickey Bars are just ice cream in chocolate. Not a huge deal and I wouldn't waste time and calories on something I can get at Dairy Queen.

The creme brulee is one of my favorites...up there with the beef with bernaise sauce, lobster.....oh my, I'm Disney Dreaming again. Maybe I should start dieting now so I can gain 5 on the ship!
