We are booked for POR and I am wondering how the new renovations will change space in the room. I had read some reviews online saying that the smaller ECVs were fine in the rooms, but now I am concerned with the move from double to queen size beds. Is there enough 'dead' space in a standard room for an ECV?

I really am trying to avoid a handicap room - I don't need a roll-in shower or any of the other features and would rather someone who does get the room - I just want to make sure DH and I don't have to climb over the wheels at night.

As a side note, I reserved a standard 2 Qu room for DH, DD, and I and a King room for in-laws... would the king room be better for the wheels? I'm sure they would have no problem having the extra time with DD, and we could just put the ECV there if they wanted to keep the larger bed.

Sorry -- still adjusting to wheels for this trip and want to get everything squared away!!! THANKS!

The rooms with roll in showers will have a 3 foot pathway thru the room and to the bathroom. The space inside the room won’t be bigger though. Only the bathroom will be - and they get the space to make the bathroom bigger by ‘taking space’ from the bedroom area.

A king room would make more floor space inside the room, so that might be the best option for you.
