Musical Lineup Set for Night of Joy 2010 - Tix on Sale 5-1

Walt Disney World has announced the lineup for the 2010 edition of Night of Joy, its Christian-music event that’s returning to Magic Kingdom theme park after a brief stay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Five of the 15 acts are new to the festival, which will be Sept. 10 and 11. [Each performer is booked for one night of Night of Joy, not both.] The special ticket event runs after regular theme park hours, although several of the more popular attractions remain open during the concerts. Event hours are 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Tickets go on sale May 1.

Sept. 10 lineup: Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Casting Crowns, BarlowGirl, Francesca Battistelli plus newbies Group 1 Crew, Tenth Avenue North and Sidewalk Prophets.

Sept. 11 lineup: mercyme, Third Day, Family Force 5, Smokie Norful, Red and the NoJ debuts of Lecrae and Day of Fire.
