I cannot remember at any wedding I have been to having music playing while the cake was cut, but I just found the cutest song (called "kisses and cake") and I thought it would be perfect... is it weird to have music playing then?... its only an instrumental.

PrincessBrideKatie, no, it's not weird at all. I've been to plenty of weddings where there was music played during the cake cutting. It sounds like the song that you have chosen will be perfect. What an adorable name!

That sounds adorable! I've pretty much only heard "How Sweet it Is" by James Taylor/ Michael Buble during the cutting. :cutie:

Umm...we haven't told our families yet, but we are planning to make a mix with our IPOD with songs by our favorite bands-
The Grateful Dead, Tom Waits, & U2!!

:rolleyes1 Please don't tell them-they will NEVER approve!! :rotfl:

I had the Beatles song: When I'm 64 playing while we cut the cake.

Ooohh, a Tom Waits fan! I absolutely adore the man! I was thinking of having Gun Street Girl at the wedding but was over-ruled :rotfl:

We're having the theme to The Godfather played during the cake-cutting to welcome Tim to the family, and give the guests a laugh ;)

We're doing "Grow Old with You" by Adam Sandler from the Wedding Singer movie. We both love that movie and it's goofy fun!

That is such a cute name for a song. I downloaded it and it is an absolutely adorable song! I just may borrow that idea from you and use it as my song! :cool1:

EVERYONE in my family uses "When I'm 64" during the cake cutting but we are thinking for our "disney wedding at home" to use "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" during the cake cutting. :thumbsup2

We're using "Ever Ever After" by Carrie Underwood [Enchanted] for our cake cutting! I absolutely love this song and I think it ties in well with our Castle/Fairytale theme:thumbsup2

The last 3 weddings I ahve gone to have used "Sugar Sugar", I once went to one that used Cherry Pie (80's hair band) and that was pretty funny!

We are planning on Sugar Sugar or How Sweet It Is - but I love When I'm 64. Great suggestions - usually most weddings I have been to it is - The Bride Cuts the Cake - The Bride Cuts The Cake - Hi Ho the Derry Oh - The Bride Cuts the Cake - and so on.

Linda

I am leaning toward "I Love You Always, Forever". Just something a little different and the words are so darling. :lovestruc

I'm not getting married at WDW, but I thought I would tell everyone what we are using when we cut the cake. We are having U2's "The Sweetest Thing" played while we cut the cake. My fiance loves U2 and this song so it's perfect.:lovestruc

We had wanted to use the Jim Brickman song "The Simple Things" but somehow the day of it was forgotten, so we are just having the videographer add it in :goodvibes
