Music while cutting the cake??

I cannot remember at any wedding I have been to having music playing while the cake was cut, but I just found the cutest song (called "kisses and cake") and I thought it would be perfect... is it weird to have music playing then?... its only an instrumental.

PrincessBrideKatie, no, it's not weird at all. I've been to plenty of weddings where there was music played during the cake cutting. It sounds like the song that you have chosen will be perfect. What an adorable name!

EVERYONE in my family uses "When I'm 64" during the cake cutting but we are thinking for our "disney wedding at home" to use "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" during the cake cutting.

We're using "Ever Ever After" by Carrie Underwood [Enchanted] for our cake cutting! I absolutely love this song and I think it ties in well with our Castle/Fairytale theme

We are planning on Sugar Sugar or How Sweet It Is - but I love When I'm 64. Great suggestions - usually most weddings I have been to it is - The Bride Cuts the Cake - The Bride Cuts The Cake - Hi Ho the Derry Oh - The Bride Cuts the Cake - and so on.
