I'm having trouble deciding on what music to use at our intimate ceremony. We are not having a MOH or BM. I recieved the list but where can I go to listen to some of these songs?

Any suggestions?

We didn't have a MOH or BM either for our Intimate Wedding. Funny story, we chose A Whole New World for our first dance together, and they played One Day My Prince Will Come instead, I didn't even notice it until I got my video :) It made for a good laugh!!

Most of the songs are traditional wedding songs, although for our recessional we had Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah and that added a little fun! You can also choose to let the musicians decide what to play, if you don't have any preferences.

I am already decided what songs that I have to have and I am positive they will not be one their list. Oh gosh!! Maybe I will have just my honeymoon at Disney. Maybe yu could see if you could chose your own music from another list they have. I am sure whatever you pick will be a part of your personality. That is how it should be. Good luck. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

The list given to DD28 for her wedding was just a guideline - she selected from the list and added her own selections for the reception. For the ceremony (in the Wedding Pavillion), most of the music on the list was just so appropriate she had no problems and just selected the ones she liked the best!!!

We are having a hard time picking music as well. Our EM told us we could have the violinist play whatever we wanted as long as we sent the music ahead of time. Your local music store can order sheet music for just about any song. Also we are going to bring a portable cd player that uses batteries ( no plugs at Sunset Point) for our first dance and father/daughter dance, my df didn't like the choices on the list. Hope this helps.

I have to confess I don't even know what music was played at our ceremony. Apparantly the traditional "here comes the bride" has some sort of satanic undertone, so our church wouldn't play it and we're totally fine with that.

The music that was chosen was pretty good, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. I do know that the music director for the church and my wife over-ruled *my* suggestion of Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries. Oh well. I think it would have sounded good.

Our song was "From this moment on" The wedding part was "Friends" by Michael W. Smith, and the father/daughter was, of course, Butterfly Kisses.
