It has been years since I have stayed at the all star movies. Can anyone tell me if they have updated them with new tvs and what kind of safe do they have. I love the ones with the keypad, any info would be great

NEW TVs,but still the "old" key-lock safes.

The rooms themselves were refurbished in late 2008. Same old safe, new TV, and they now have a beverage cooler. Not ice cold but enough to keep milk or water cool.

I had not been there since early 2009 but thought the place still looked nice four years later.

They still have the old slidein slideout key locks. Some one said either movies or sports had upgraded their locks to RFID recently so they may have changed since the fall when I was there.

Thanks for the info, other than the aoa does any of the values have the keypad for the safes? I hate to carry around that key.

As far as I know the values still have the key. (even some of the mods and deluxes still have keys)

I didn't carry it around I hid it. Not absolutly the best security, but I figure it's at least one more step in safety. You can leave things at the front desk if you like then you won't have to carry the key, but that is a hassle in itself if you need to access them everyday.

Not sure if it matters - but all the All Stars now have mini fridges in every room.
