My grandfather got a postcard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is 86 and had no idea why I was jumping around his kitchen yesterday! Anyway, we are going to Disney for June 4 - June 12. There are 8 of us and we have decided that 3 value rooms will be the best use of our resources. So I called today and found out that Movies is not available. So which is better and why? Sports? or Music? We are planning to be in the parks early and late with a nap/swim break in the afternoon. We need 2 connecting rooms plus an adjoining. Grandpa needs to be close to the parking lot so he has less walking. I have left out Pop because I understand it can be difficult to park and we will have 2 cars with us, one with Papa's electric scooter. :moped: Tell me what you think! ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

My personal preference between the two is Music, although Sports is a close second.

Music is laid out in a long straight line, with a walkway and the pools in the middle, rows of Guest buildings on either side, and parking lots on the outside of the buildings. Melody Hall, which contains the lobby, bus stops, food court, and gift shop, is at the front.

I have always stayed in the Broadway section, which is the farthest section from Melody Hall. It's a long walk, but it's the quietest section of the resort and usually pretty easy to get a ground-floor, parking-lot accessible room. And the trick is: drive! Since you will have cars and don't need the bus stops, the only times you will likely be going to Melody Hall is for breakfast in the morning, and dinner, soda refills, or package pick-up in the evening. So all you have to do is park in the check-in parking lot when you visit Melody Hall, and you will have a much easier time getting around.

I do recommend walking the length of the resort at least once, however, so you can see the decor, pools, and building icons.

I have stayed at Sports, and not Music, so I may be a little biased, but I'd go with Sports. Sometimes the All Stars share buses and if they do, Sports is picked up and dropped off first. Also, I just prefer the theming at Sports better.

I've stayed in both Music and Sports, and I'd recommend Sports. It's laid out better, more semi-circle around a central hub, as opposed to long, "bowling-alley-like". If you're in one of the further buildings at Sports, you're not that far from the main building compared to at Music. There it's quite a hike if you're in an outer building.

Much to my surprise my Mom wanted Pop. She said the 50's section looked fun. So that is where I booked tonight. I hope it fun. :teeth:
