Music Help PLEASE!

Hi! We finally decided on all of our ceremony music and a couple of our choices were things the WP organist didn't have, so we have to buy the sheet music and send it to DFTW. Most are easy to find, but we are having the HARDEST time finding the YOMD theme song on sheet music.

The YOMD theme is actually a mix of 2 songs from this Peter Pan soundtrack

The songs are called either
'Flying'
or
'I Do Believe in Fairies'

This will be the song when the guys walk in, so DF would prefer we find 'Flying' for obvious reasons

However, I can't find sheet music for it anywhere. All I can find is the song "I'm Flying" from the broadway musical which is totally not the same.

I'm not really sure if this will help you since you're wanting the organist to play the song, but you can buy that song (by itself w/out the rest of the album) from I-Tunes (for $0.99).

My DF and I are considering bringing our I-Pod (w/external speakers) to our wedding so that we'll be sure to have the exact songs we want. If you didn't want to use an I-Pod, you could always burn a CD on your own.

Your wedding planner can't get this for you? Maybe as Purplegirl247 or StephSFL if they know of a disney shop that would sell it?

We thought about putting it on a CD too, but then you have to pay for the tech to run the sound system. No, Laura, our coordinator said we need to send them the sheet music for the organist. I was shocked they didn't have it since it's the theme song this year! I guess I'll keep looking, or maybe ask Steph and Purplegirl

I"m really sorry. Asked DF if he had any ideas. He looked on his sites and nothing.

I looked but I couldn't find anything either. I did find two sites:

It looks to me from the message board that a lot of his music is not published in sheet music format.

I don't know much about this, or even if it is possible, but is there some type of software program that will convert the song to the score?

Thank you so much for working so hard to try to help! It's looking like it's not going to be possible to use it I guess I'll email my coordinator and see if she has another option, or maybe see how much the sound system operator is?

Seriously? How in the world could he do that? That's cool! What would we do? Download the midi and then email it to you?

Yeah, just email me the midi or give me the link and I can download it myself...he'd probably do it tonight when he gets off work (Though I should probably ask him first...haha!). He's a musician by hobby and has some great software for doing that kind of stuff. He makes sheet music for me all the time for auditions. I'll double check with him when he gets home (in about 2 hrs) but I'm sure he'd do it.

karen, I noticed that you mentioned you would have to pay for the Tech to play a CD at the WP?

My DF preferred not to have the organist play at our wedding so we've already compiled a CD in the exact order that we walk in for the ceremony.

Our WP, Carol never mentioned anything about paying extra for a tech to pop in the CD. All she said was that she would have a tech take care of that for us, and I double checked my BEO & estimated budget and there's no charge for it


Did you specifically ask about that? because if you did, I think I may stick with the organist as well, eek!

I looked for a good hour last night for "Flying" but kept coming up with the Broadway song too. I'm going to check out the link you posted now and see if I can find the source of the file...I'll let you know if I have any luck! *Fingers Crossed*

Do you guys have half-days for the rest of the week? My kids are so excited for school to be out...I'm not as excited!
