Music from Halloween parade for sale?

I love the music from the Halloween parade. Can you buy it anywhere? I thought it would be fun to pipe it out of my windows on Halloween night when the trick or treaters are getting their candy.

I'd love to find it, too ! My DGrD (2) is obsessed with watching our tapes of the Boo to You parade and Hallowishes - it was such a cute parade! What a great idea for Halloween - my neighbors are getting tired of the CD I play - and it scares some of the little ones - this would be perfect !!

I too love the Boo To You Halloween parade. If it's the '05 version you're talking about - it is not for sale to my knowledge. However you can find all the tracks if you know where to look.

Here a couple months ago I was on a mission to find it - and I did - it just took me a while.

Are you familiar with dc-torrents.com?

Go there and search the torrents for "halloween". It's the file called "Mickey s Not So Scary Halloween Party - 2005 Audio Tracks". Save the file to your desktop. If you're not registered you have to register first but it's free.

You will then need to get a torrent program (not sure what it is, but it works). I use a free one called UTorrent.

Open up UTorrent, drag and drop the file in and it will start uploading... be patient, it takes quite some time. At least on my computer it did...

That's the only way I could come up with it and I pretty much did all this by trial and error... I am by no means an expert when it comes to these "Torrents", so hope it works for ya!!

Oh yeah, one other thing. The audio files that are included in the download I refer to above, are M4A files. I use the VLC Media Player (again a free download) to play these types of files. I cannot seem to get Windows Media Player to play them.

And I haven't tried them on my MP3 player yet, so I'm not sure if the file is compatible with MP3 players...

you arent kidding, I had someone try and explain the things to me once..but I am not computer adept by any means. I can use a web browser and my word program but after that I am hoping they have it on CD when I go there in oct...otherwise I may bring my minidisc player and record it.

Disney, please get "Boo To You Parade" on CD!! Right now, I listen to a version a DISer here shared with us, who took his home video and took the sound off of it and saved it as a file. Takes me right back there to October!

I also went on dc-torrents and got the maximum number error. Oh well!

Hey no problem I'm glad I helped... There is something about that music that is very nostalgic - even though it is not even a year old. It's one of those songs that really take you back.

Yeah, the whole "seeds" and "leechers" thing I just don't get it. But once I figured out the basics it's really not that hard. It's just slow. Oh, and I think I heard the 2004 Boo To You Parade and I didn't like the music nearly as much... I think they change it every year.

I don't know what that's all about... Do you have "Skype"? If you do and you PM'd me your user name I could zip the files and skype it to you... It's like 45mb or so...

I didn't have a problem registering - maybe it's based on how many people are on the torrent at one time? All of you with the error, try again.

I've been using Torrents for a few months. . . my best friend is a pro and walked me through one night and it's pretty easy.

I use Azureus - it's free.

Once you install that program, it works kinda like the old Napster, Morpheus, etc programs. Except instead of searching in the program, you go to a Torrent (a site like the one posted) and choose a file from there to download.

So you have it installed and the program running. Go to the Torrent site and search, find the file you want to download. For this particular site, click on that little disc icon. It'll ask you if you want to open or save. You want to open. That will open the file to download in your program. If you save, it just saves the "path" to the file on your hard drive, not the files you want. You can save those then double click and they'll open in Azureus later. . . but it's usually just one more step in the way of getting that file.

In Azureus, there's a smiley on the left side - green is good, that means you have good, fast download and connection.

The seeds and leechers, that's just telling you how many people are sharing that file and how many people are downloading without giving back.

It's really very easy once you figure it out. I don't know if that all made any sense or not. . .made sense to me though, LOL!
