What music did you use for your ceremony? I was just curious what others used, I don't want the traditional wedding march when I walk down the aisle.
thanks!

We are using:

Seating of the Grandparents/Parents: ”Married Life” from Disney’s “Up”

Entering of the Groomsmen/Groom: ”You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from
Disney’s “Toy Story”

Entering of the Bridesmaids/Maid of Honor/Flower Girl & Ring Bearer: ”Main Titles” from Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”

Entering of the Bride: "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Disney’s “Cinderella”

This is the list right now, it may be changed around a little though b/c I'm thinking about using the Little Mermaid song as my song instead.

Our current list is:

Mother's Seating: EITHER "Sunrise, Sunset" or "Attics of My Life"

Bridesmaids/Groomsmen: "Dance of the Lambs"

Flower Girl: "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies"

Bride: "Pachebel's Canon"

Groom: "Once Upon a Dream"

Wine Blessing: "Jerusalum, City of Gold"

Exit: "Beauty & the Beast"

We are using all Disney music.

Groom: If I Didn't Have You from Monsters, Inc.
MOH and flower girl: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo
Bride: I See the Light from Tangled
Community sand ceremony: When You Wish Upon a Star
Recessional: Married Life from Up

We are using an iPod for our VR. Before the ceremony begins, we're going to play classical versions of Disney music ... "When You Wish Upon a Star", "So This is Love" etc.

For the walks up and down the aisle, we're using two Vitamin String Quartet songs: Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love" (maybe a little corny, but it sounds amazing in strings, LOL) for the walk up, and Colbie Callait's "Bubbly" for the walk back. :)

I really want to use this as my song too :)

This might be a stupid question but would u have the original version played or would u have people play it live?

I'm just starting to think about this now, so I'm also curious. My friend is playing the harp for the ceremony. I'm thinking I might walk down the aisle to "So This is Love" because I think that would be really pretty on harp. I am trying to picture other songs that would sound good on harp. I may go the traditional route and have the Canon in D thrown in there, maybe for the bridesmaid processional. It's really pretty.

OMG, I'm having a total issue with this! If we have it live, then we want the string trio. But I LOVE the way the original sounds! I seriously can't make up my mind yet, but I'm leaning towards just using original music on a CD. I'm probably going to post my own thread soon asking how the music sounded in the WP with using a CD or ipod. What would you do?

We still haven't made any final decisions on ours but here's what we were thinking:

Prelude: Some nice lovey dovey Disney songs to set the mood
Officiant/Groom: I'm Gonna Love You More Than Anyone - Gavin Degraw
Bridesmaids: Love you 'til the End - The Pogues
Bride: Either Love Story by Taylor Swift, Marry Me by Train, Only Hope by Switchfoot, or the Mer/Der Theme from Grey's Anatomy (I couldn't find it anywhere so I took a shot and I emailed the composer from the show and he emailed it to me personally!!! :yay:)

Sand Ceremony: The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice

Recessional: Married Life or Don't Worry Baby by the Beach Boys

We still have 18 months to go so it will probably change lol

Let's see if I remember this correctly...

"Go the Distance" instrumental for groom and groomsmen

"Beauty and the Beast - Tale as Old as Time" instrumental for moms

"Someday my Prince will Come" instrumental for bridesmaids

"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" instrumental for the bride

"A Whole New World" instrumental - sand ceremony

Good luck!

Hi there,

We are having:

Grooms processional - Clair de Lune
Bridal Party - Air on G String
Bride - Canon in D
Recessional - You've got a friend in me

If you like certain songs / music that arent on Disneys list they can pretty much play anything.

Good luck

Sophie

Mine is going to be an at-home Disney ceremony and reception, so I am going to be using Disney Music for the ceremony- minus the Bride, because I HAVE to have Canon D. :goodvibes

All my music is instrumental. I have the links to the actual songs in my PJ.

Guests Entering- Various Classical

Minister Entering- Kingdom Hearts 2 Intro

Mothers/Grandmothers- Can you Feel the Love Tonight- ORCHESTRA version

Groomsman- The Little Mermaid Instrumental, Part of Your World

Bride- Canon D

Sand Ceremony- Beauty & the Beast, Tale as Old as Time

Marriage Recessional- When You Wish Upon a Star

Yeah the original sounds amazing, but I worry that if I was to go with the original version on cd/ipod I'd have to have all my other choices in the same format. Some of my other choices might sound better live. Perhaps I'm just over thinking it, lol.

Here is our main songs, which are all from the Disney C-D:

Parents and Grandparents: "Adaigo" (#5)

Groom/Groomsmen/Officiant: "Rondeau Theme" (#23)

Bridesmaids: "Cannon, in D Major" (#24)

Flower Girls: "Disney Medley" (#38)

Bride: "Traditional Bridal Chorus Processional" (#29)
At first I also did not want to do the traditional bridal chorus and was going to do "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from the C-D (the Elton John version is our first dance song). But DF, my mom, and my MOH all wanted me to choose the traditional song, so I did, and am happy with the decision.

Unity Candle: "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" (#14)

Recessional: "When You Wish Upon a Star" (#18)

Guest Recessional: "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" (#13)

I loved the C-D and had a hard time narrowing it down to these choices. I especially love the Disney songs that are elegant and different than the originals. We also chose 7 songs off the C-D for guest seating.

We used mostly movie soundtrack music and wanted the originals played, so we had a sound system with a tech to run it. I made a CD in the correct order and labeled everything... a lot...

Entrance – “Main Title from The Wind & The Lion”

Mom’s Song – “I Remember (Love Theme)” (The Wind & the Lion)

Officiant, Best Man & Man of Honor – “007” (From Russia with Love)

Groom’s Entrance – “Life’s Incredible Again” (The Incredibles)

Bride’s Entrance – “Off to Work” (The Incredibles)

Exit – “Two Hornpipes (Tortuga)” (Pirates of the Caribbean II)

There's a sample CD of music DFTW provides so you can hear what some of the most popular songs sound like on the organ.

I thought the organ in "real-life" was ten times better than what I heard on the CD.

Groom entrance - Whistle Stop (from Robin Hood)
MOH Entrance - You'll be in my Heart (Tarzan)
Bride Entrance - When you wish Upon a Star
Sand Ceremony - A Whole New World
Processional - A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow
