Mushroom allergy?

Anyone know if eating mushrooms can cause cold like syptoms if you are allergic to them? I've noticed that whenever I eat raw mushrooms I start to feel like I have a cold for about 24 hours afterward. Scratchy throat, sneezing and runniy nose but no itching. I am allergic to pennicillin and am wondering if the two allergies are realted.

Anyone know?

My DH is has a serious allergy to mushrooms. His throat gets very tight and hurts. We carry epipens just in case. However, he is not allergic to penicillin and I don't know if there is a link. At any rate, if these symptoms only happen after eating mushrooms then I would say there is a good chance you do have an allergy.
