Murder on our street!

On the way to school this morning several police cars came speeding down our road. I was going for a run (more like a walk) once i had dropped DD off at school so decided to change my route so i could have a nosey at what was going on, there were police and forensics all over. I'm not too sure what has happened yet but it seems they have found a body next to the canal, right next to the road Its scary when its on your door step, you think your safe in your own home and when you see it on the news you think thank god things like that don't happen where we live!

I agree it is very scary!

Last year they found a decapitated body just around the corner from where we live.

That's scary.
A few years ago a local teenager was abducted and murdered. If that wasn't bad enough while the police were searching for her two other bodies were found. I've always wondered if these people would have been discovered if an intensive search hadn't been going on at the time.

That's awful, a couple of months ago a woman was murdered in her house about 500 yards from where we live, turned out it was her husband that killed her, they only found her because he ran out infront of a train and police went to inform her and found her there. Terrible as they had two young kids.

How awful. There was a murder in a house just down the road from us a few years ago and I didn't like walking past after that

Not alot of info on here at the moment.

It may not be murder, but until a cause of death is established nothing is ruled out, hence the forensic teams being there.

When I was a kid they found a body under the bridge by our house (we lived opposite the railway which was down below street level.) Turned out it was drugs related, the lad had been murdered a long way away and the body dumped there as it was a quiet secluded area, I guess they didn't figure that someone on a train might spot it??? I remember the police coming along and interviewing everyone on the street.

They think he is a missing person from the Liverpool area. It had all been cleared by lunch times yesterday, no more info yet.
