Tragic news. 23-year-old man killed last night, at the Alehouse on 535 (one block from the "back" entrance to WDW, and a favorite hang-out of Cast Members). Not a lot of detail yet.

Given the stabbing at the now defunct Jungle Jims across the street a few months back, I think the Orange County Sheriff's Department needs to step things up in that area.

boy I didn't even know that Jungle Jim had closed. this was in the Crosswalks?

It closed about the same time that we were down there (maybe right afterwards, but it sure looked closed everytime we went by). I think you were there right after us (or about the same time).

You know, this type of thing could happen at your favorite restaurant in your home town. Don't completely wipe a place off your list because of a murder. If you do, then don't ever got to any of the DTD restaurants, because there was a murder there a number of years ago.

And not's let forget about when the estranged husband took a housekeeping cast member hostage at a Disney resort and swat was called in a couple years ago or the rape at a Disney golf course or the other things that was reported that happened in the utlidors to cast members....But we have not quit going to Disney have we? My point is bad things happen to good people everywhere.Any time you put thousands of people in any place bad things happen.....

You know, I just finished reading 'Disney the Mouse Betrayed' ** Peter Schweizer and if that book doesn't stop me from going to Disney, I don't think anything ever will!

With all of the murders happening in Orlando and surronding areas, no where is really safe.

Guess you just have to take the risk!!
