Jim Hill has a new article about the status of the Disney/Henson deal. It looks like Disney is facing stiff competetion from the Muppetts themselves!
EM.TV wants more than 1/2 of what it paid for the Henson company in February 2000 (Disney's offered $300 Mil, they paid $680 Mil), and the folks at Henson are making some effort to scare up financing to make an offer.
Meanwhile, Disney is trying to sweeten the deal for EM.TV by offering "exclusive European broadcast rights to certain titles from the company's film library," though of course nobody's saying which titiles.
