Mummy ride opening

I received an email about The Mummy's opening on May 21. Does anyone know if this is the first day the ride is operating or will it be going before that date but that is the "official" grand opening? We are going to be at Universal a couple of weeks before that and hate to miss it.

Sounds like you are in the same boat we are. We'll be at USH and it's scheduled to open the 25th of June. We ship out on the 23rd. We were wanting to hit USH on either the 18th or 19th. Wonder if we'll have any luck riding mummy then?

From what I gather from the boards, the Mummy has already had "soft" openings and many people here have already ridden the Mummy and given it great reviews! I think it is just luck of the draw if it is running if you arrive before the official opening date.

Oh that sounds good, I hope that they will have it running the day we are there!!!!! Has anyone else had luck getting on it before its grand opening?

Between March 29th-April 17th, The Mummy was open to guests for Technical Rehearsal. Beginning, last Sunday, April 18th, the ride was closed to install the animatronics and to hopefully tweak the effects a bit. There is a chance that the ride will soft open a few days before the Grand Opening (maybe a week before), but other than that, the ride will remain closed. so anyone going 2 weeks before the grand opening will most likely be out of luck. The ride is closed.
