Thanks Damo !!
I haven't checked any Mummy rumors lately & that really peaked my interest !!!
Can't wait !!!:hyper:

Wow, that's great. Maybe they'll have it ready for Mardi Gras.

OK I'm slipping. Which park will the mummy ride be at? Isn't it Universal Studios???

And what type of ride is it supposed to be??

The Mummy will be in Universal Studios where King Kong was. It will be a dark ride with a launched roller coaster.

We visit march hope its open at some time during trip:jester:

If this is true....I am so excited. I did not know it would have a launch. I just love that!!!!

Would someone please explain what a launch is when referring to rollercoasters? I'm thinking it is like the Hulk where you shoot up in the beginning instead of waiting to fall at the top of the hill.

Correct. That is exactly what a launch is. But it's not always up. For example Rockin Roller Coaster has a launch, but it goes straight out, not up.

Is this going to be a rough roller coaster ride with flips and stuff or will it be more like dinosaur at the AK?

No, it doesn't have any inversions. Just one small drop in the dark and a couple of steep turns.

Plus, it's not made by Vekoma which would help cut down on money with cheap rough non-quality.

However, Premium doesn't have the best reputation for smooth rides. Flight of Fear, Paramount's Kings Dominion, is quite the head banger. But since the ride vehicles for Mummy are supposed to sit four across, perhaps the experience will be different.

Indeed Chris 2... and I don't know if you've been on FoF since Premier went through and put lap bars on all their rides, but now they are quite top notch rides. FoF (PKD or PKI) went from being my least favorite looper to being my favorite... that's just how dramatic the change is.

Its Premier, not Premium. ;)

Oops, I type faster than I think.

I was on Flight of Fear this summer with the lap bars and it is still pretty rough.
