For those of you with multiple UYs, have you run into any problems making ressies and using your points? The way it was explained to me is that they are truly 2 separate contracts under separate member numbers and ressies are made separately. Therefore, when you make a ressie, they can't link the two like they can with two contracts under the same member number. I'm not sure if this is true or even if I fully understand it.
We currently have 2 contracts totaling 390 points with an August UY. When I purchased the contract, I thought our points would expire the last day in August, but it's the last day in July. This is a little inconvenient for us since we usually vacation late July, early August. We were fortunately in that both contracts had banked points, so we're always in the situation where we're using points by the end of July or they expire. I'm thinking of adding on a small 50 pt contract that has a Sept or Oct UY to allow us wiggle room with the July/Aug travel.
I'd appreciate any pros/cons/experiences that those of you with multiple UYs have experienced. Yes, I understand there are pros/cons, but how realistically do those rules impact people?
Like I would consider another UY if I had it to do over again, would you buy separate UYs again?
Warmest regards,
Bridgett
