I'm planning for next summer and want a BC and 2 inn rooms, so ideally, the units wouldn't be in the same place anyway. If a BC isn't available, and you want to book a 2 bedroom, dedicated, and 2 other units, would you book inn rooms or studios for the other 2 groups? Do people have experience with the other units being in the same building as the 2 bedroom if that's what you requested? If so, that may even make the second scenerio my first choice.

I would most definitely get a cottage if you can..
As far as studio vs inn room, I prefer a studio. We have never stayed in a studio, but we have had a 2br and of course checked out the studio portion. It has a triangular shape which I found unique and attractive.
Last year we stayed in a ocean view inn room just to see what the fuss was about. It didn't have the character of a studio IMO. It was a rectangle hotel room. The balcony also had a tall, solid wall which made it impossible to see the ocean while sitting.

In short, if it were me, I would go with a cottage and two studios.

Good luck with the cottage! :smokin:

Book the INN rooms. Preferably, OVIR's. Garden view look out at the parking lot. Studio views are terrible. They too look out at the street or parking lot. It's also so much more convienient to be inside the main house for parking, laundry, and proximity to the beach and pool.

And there you have it.. Two totally different viewpoints on the studio v inn room debate!

Seriously though, I don't remember the studio portion of the 2br looking at the lot.
In addition, the resort isn't THAT large where it's a hike to the pool or beach.

Anyway, I *think* we agree on the cottage?? ;)

We had two of those rooms last month! Since we had DM who's in a wheelchair it was just terrible. DH went and asked about a room change since we were there for 3 nights and they moved one of the rooms just two doors down for a slotted veranda (for a charge of course - without telling DH, but I suspected we would see it and we did). The other is a solid veranda so request the slotted in the future.

Still, it was Night and Day difference! DM was able to sit out on a big balcony, looking right at the ocean and watching everything going on all day long. It might have been her best day of the trip!

Thanks all! Yes, the BC is the first choice and well, I know DH doesn't even want me to consider the 2 bedroom + whatever, but the whole familiy agrees that it's going to be a VB/WDW vacation next year.
