Multiple Trip Ticket Question

So... Out of all trips I have taken, I have never quite found myself in this scenario. We have a package trip booked in October. Everything is linked in MDE like usual. My wife and I are taking an adults only trip in August because I will be at the Disney Data Analytics Conference, so I took advantage of the discounted conference park tickets. Without thinking, I went ahead and linked those tickets to my MDE account as well.

(Pre-numbered for Robo's convenience :-) )

1. How will Disney know which tickets to deduct from when we go in August? I need them to use the tickets I purchased for August, and not the tickets that are part of our October trip.

2. I imagine I could call and have them unlink the August tickets from my MDE and just use the physical cards?

3. Or, could I just take the physical cards and use them instead of using my Magic Band? Would they still work even though I've already linked them?

1. Create two new "fake names/guests" in your MDE account and transfer the tickets that you don't want to use for the first trip to under those new names.
After your first trip, transfer those tickets back to your real accounts.

2. No need.
3. No need.
4. Yes but, no need.

If the October tickets are in a package they won't be active until your check in day. I would just stop by Guest Services before your first use in August to make sure they are not showing. I've been able to transfer active tickets to a phantom person in my account, but not inactive package ones before the active date.

If the October tickets are not part of a package you can re-assign them now, them assign them back to you after the August trip.

The October tickets were purchased from a re-seller. I will use the linking to fake names method, which is easy enough. Thanks!
