I have a 1 day ticket left over from a past trip that has never been used. I will being going with a 6 day ticket for my upcoming trip. How can I be sure that the 6 day ticket is used and not the 1 day ticket? I also had a random thought, If I decide to park hop can I use that 1 day ticket to get into the 2nd park for the day? The ticket is completely separate from the 6 day ticket I will use.

TIA

I you want to spend a $120 ticket to park hop instead of adding it to your ticket for $75 you may. As for how to ensure the proper ticket is used you can either make a profile and assign the ticket to the "phantom" person or you can wait until you're there and have them prioritize your 6 day ticket at Guest Services.

No, you can only use one ticket per day, so if you want to hop, add the hopper. You can't use a different ticket to get in a different park.

You'll need to go up to guest services and have them prioritize whatever ticket you want to use.

Sorry, but that info is incorrect.

Although guests CANNOT use multiple "DAYS" from a single ticket on one day,
they CAN use as many individual tickets in one day as they like (although it would be a poor choice financially.)

I thought if it was in the same MDX account that you can't do that?

ETA: This was my understanding; Multiple Single Park Tickets has that changed or were they wrong?

That’s absolutely incorrect and that that question is even on the website is bad because the question itself is internally inconsistent and confusing. A “six day ticket” is not “multiple single park tickets”. The answer required clarifying that the questioner appeared confused (even if you wanted to do this you’d never buy six single day tickets to do what they were proposing and the answer was assuming it was a “six-day ticket”. Again - not financially smart to do it (although if it’s just one day and you’re really not going to use it for years difference is a lot less. You’d still need to go to guest services to ensure the tickets are used as you want them to be used.

The Mom's Panel is an interesting source of information.
Sometimes some of its information can actually be true.
It's so odd to me that in order to assess whether Mom's Panel answers are accurate, they must be discussed on a different (and non-Disney) site.
:sad2:

Out of curiosity, has anyone actually used 2 separate tickets in the same day? If so, why would they do that? And if not, how do we know it can actually be done? Does it mean setting up fake MDE account, or can you do it in an actual legit account with tickets already linked to said account?

I've seen several people do it over the years - often with promo or comp tickets where they had say 4 single day tickets and were spending 3 days in the park. No need to set up an extra MDE account - there are enough people who have had Disney pull old non-expiring tickets off their accounts when they had valid APs or other ticket media to know that the system reads multiple tickets in the same account.

Right, it will pull from days from different tickets but not within the same day, so that is a different set of circumstances (which is why you have to make sure the one you want is prioritized).

I would imagine promo or comp tickets are coded differently than regular gate tickets? So, I guess my question is this; you have one MDE account, two regular single day tickets. You go to MK and enter the gate, can you then leave and go to EPCOT and be let right in? Or, would a CM have to okay the entry?

I have a similar question and didn’t want to start an entire new thread. We are bringing my grandma to Disney next week and getting her a 3 day (non hopper pass). We are going to be there for 4 days and on Tuesday we have tickets to the Christmas party. We plan on going to springs during the day on Tuesday and then going to MK in the afternoon (we’re DVC so we know we can get into the party at 2 but we’ll probably get there closer to 4). My question is, how will the touch point know for my grandma that we want to use her party ticket and not one of the 3 day tickets? I’m afraid it’s going to use up one of the days when we don’t want it to. Do we ask the CM when we get to the touch point?
Thanks!

1. Yes, but that's not any kind of special case that the system needs in order to
use two (or more) separate "stand alone" tickets in one day.
2. If you have a separate (valid) ticket, then yes.
3. Nope.
Disney does not care if you want to use two separate "stand alone" tickets in one day.
The very fact that they are separate (valid) tickets is enough to allow their use.

I'm digging into it because I've read multiple answers to the question around the 'net as "No, you can't" and those answers are dated prior to the Mom's Panel answer, so I'm curious as to if they've changed a policy at some point. I'm assuming someone got the idea to be able to make more FP's ahead of time and has actually tried it, I've not read any actual account of someone doing it, or trying it with a normal ticket. And, I agree, I don't know why Disney would stop it, as they make more money, which is why I'm surprised to see the "No, you can't do that" answers in various places, including the Mom's panel for single tickets specifically.
