Hey all. I'm jess. 24.

Diagnosed with ms while having an MRI done for chiari 1 malformation.

I have no idea what this disease is and don't really know what to trust for information.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Jess.
My name is Kevin, I am 58 and I was diagnosed 3 months ago. MS is an auto-immune disease (white blood cells attack the myelin coating protecting your nerves). The attacks result in lesions/scars (sclerosis), so MS is multiple attacks and corresponding lesions/scars on your nerves. There is a lot of research going on all over the globe.

I like www.nationalmssociety.org website. Lot's of info and forums.

If you do not exercise on a regular basis, try to start as soon as possible. I have talked to a couple of people that swear it is as important as any drug currently available.
