Multiple Rooms Check-in

I am leaving in 3 days. I will be at WDW for marathon. I have a group of 10 people. I usd my points to book a 2BR and a Studio. The studio is not in my name, since I couldn't have 2 units under my name.

I will arrive, with one other person at 1:30, with others arriving later. The people whose names are on the studio won't arrive until 10 PM. I requsted that the 2BR and Studio be near each other, but I know that is just a request.

So, my question is, could I put the person travelling with me on the studio reservation so we can get both units at the same time (hopefully with a better chance of getting them near each other), and when the others check in, having her name switched back to the 2BR unit (for her room key). She's staying the same amount of time as me, whereas the others are leaving on various days, which is why I'd wanther back on the 2BR ressie for the room key.

Is this possible/permissable? Or do we just have to hope the studio will be available near the 2BR when those folks arrive?

When I did this we had some of us there for 5 days and then the rest arriving on day 6. They had apparently blocked out the rooms in advance as they we in the same building at OKW just different floors. The second time I did this they had also blocked it out ahead of time so don't know that it will matter too much if your second group checks in late. You can certainly ask when you check in and they may be able to block it for you then if they have not already done so.

IF you booked both rooms with your own points, you should be able to check into both at the same time, even if your name is not on the second reservation. The only glitch is that the second room wont have credit charging priveledges unless they go down and add it later on.

I wasn't allowed to check-in for my later arriving guests, and both rooms were on my points.

They did block the room location though, so that we were near each other at OKW.

If you aren't getting the Dining Plan, I see no reason why you couldn't switch the names on the reservation so that you and your friend could check in at the same time.

Of course, two people would have to switch room keys (and thus have the wrong name for the duration), but that may not be an issue for your guests. If you are planning to charge back to the rooms, you'd have some extra "figuring" to do at check out, though.
