I booked three rooms for a family vacation at French Quarter and had to list who would be in each room. Is it possible to give our whole group access to each other’s rooms? We may want to split up differently on each night depending who staying out later or is getting up earlier. I booked through Magical Journeys's and was told that she didn’t think it’d be possible to do this. Does anyone know if this is true or been in this situation?

Ask for a couple key cards for each room when you check in. I am pretty sure Magic Bands can only open 1 room.

You are positively correct. I asked on a trip when we had multiple rooms. 1 room at a time only

I had booked two rooms under the same reservation number and all six Magic Bands opened both doors. So I know that it works if you are listed as having multiple rooms under one reservation.

That's what you have to call to book, right?

I think so. And you can only have two rooms on one reservation if the total guest list for the rooms is 1 or 2 adults, with any number of children.

I had booked this reservation as a bounce back so I had called to make it. The trip included my husband and I, our adult son and his boys. I hadn't even realized that she had listed it as two rooms under one reservation number until I received the confirmation. I was a little concerned, too, when I saw the way she split it up because she had listed my husband in one room and me in the other. But it all turned out okay because the MB's opened both rooms.

We had three adults on the reservation. It was for two families.

Then according to the phone CM, it was booked incorrectly. They'll let it go if it was set up that way by mistake, but it's not how it is supposed to work in theory. Glad it worked out for you though.

We've booked 2 rooms with one reservation number with 3 adults at least 5 times. Never been a problem.

Yeah, you can do this anytime you want. The trick it is must be done on the phone and can't be done online. I suspect it takes a bit of work on the part of the CM on the phone and those who tell you they can't do it just don't want to be bothered. Maybe it takes longer or something and slows down their phone call per hour number or something. No idea. But for sure never let them tell you it's not possible. If you must have it under 1 number, do it.
We just don't worry about it and book them under 2 numbers instead. I personally hate dealing with them on the phone unless I have no other option.
