Multiple resorts per trip?

For my next trip, I won't be able to afford a week at the Wilderness Lodge (I really want to), so my brother and I will most likely shack up in Pop Century instead. I was thinking, though, that maybe we could spend one or two nights at WL and the rest at Pop.

Have any of you ever stayed at more than one resort during your trip? Is it even allowed? Is it a major hassle or is it worth it? Share your experiences, please! :flower3:

We have done this because we wanted to try each resort (we haven't done that yet though). We didn't want to pay for the deluxe resorts on the days we are in the parks, so we would usually go to one resort that we just wanted to try out the first and possibly the second night (and not go to parks), and then move to a less expensive resort for the rest of our stay.

Now we have always had a car with us when we have done this, but I understand from reading on these boards that you can have your luggage moved for you by the resorts. I'm not sure how that works.

Sure, it's allowed, you can make as many reservations as you want. We have done it several times.

This works best if you are not on a package as that would require the purchase of 2 sets of tickets.

Not always. We went to Disney in January. We stayed at BC for 6 nights with the DDP and bought 10 day hoppers. The next three nights of our stay were at the Poly with no dining plan. They just took our BC room keys and moved our park tickets onto our Poly keys. The last night of our stay we stayed in the GF. We only had one day left of park tickets by the point, so we didn't transfer that one day onto on our GF key. We just took our Ploy keys and used them to enter the parks.

We did our first split stay last Oct and loved it so much that we did another one end of March/April this year and are doing another one in Oct too. It was super easy for us because we had our own car and it was nice to get into another resort, felt like a second vacation!

We've done split stays before & are doing it again this summer. It's a great way to solve the "can't decide which resort to stay at this trip" dilemma. This summer, we're staying at AKV & then switching over to BCV. Can't wait.

**We always have our own vehicle, so it is very easy.

Go for it, as you can see in my signature we do this almost every trip. It is easy to do, even though it takes 2-3 hours to transfer.

Hope this helps.

I have done it before also between 2 moderates and this year I am going between the AKL and GF.

I meant if you wanted to be on a package for the entire stay.
