Multiple resort reservations and magic bands?

Can we use just one magic band if we are doing a split stay? How do we make sure the magic band knows all of our reservations? We are traveling with family and will have many hotel reservations and we are switching hotels. For example, we are at AKL in a one bedroom value for one night, AKL 2 bedroom club level for most of the trip, but there are 2 nights when we are keeping the club level room but also checking into a grand floridian one bedroom (we're getting married and we are staying at the grand floridian for 2 nights but keeping the 2 bedroom club which my parents are staying in also). Will one magic band open the door to all of these rooms if they are all on My Disney Experience?

Also, if we bought a magic band separately, how do I link it to My Disney Experience?

Yes, one Magic Band will work for all of your resorts. They are tied to your MDE account and not to each resort. As long as your MDE account is tied to that resort then it would work.

If you want to link a purchased band then there is a code number on the band that needs to be entered into your MDE account.

Just an FYI, there is nothing on the magics band exc pt th I'd number that ties it to your MDE account. The MDE account is where all the info lives.
