Any owners have contracts at multiple resorts? I would live to hear how you use them. Do you bank and borrow contracts at each resort to vacation in alternate years at each or transfer points between contracts. Considering a purchase through resale of two smaller contracts at our fav resorts. Thanks for any input.

We use them separately, eithet a split stay or bank then alone on one trip. I like to keep my once per uy transfer option open just in case I'm short on points (haven't been yet).

We own BLT and BWV. We even have them in two UYs. We just added on some more BLT points so I have one membership with 180 of just BLT and the other membership with BLT and BWV.

We own at those resorts because we want to be at both and it does allow us to split stay. The contracts are big enough to make booking the way we want possible. We didn't intend to get the second UY but the deal on the BWV points in 2010 was really good that we went for it. Now I am glad I did because I have the flexibility to book at all times of the year without having to worry about banking deadlines. Ideally, if I added on again, I'd try for BWV points for my June UY so I had some points of each resort in each contract. But, I told hubby the add on we just did was it...so, I have to wait at least a year before I convince him its not!!!! Lol

We own two resorts in two different use years. We tend to use our Feb use year points to book trips from Feb - Sept and our Aug use year points to book trips from August - Feb. That way we can cancel and bank points if necessary. We basically treat the two contracts as separate time shares.

We own at 4 resorts, as you can see below. We always do split stays so it allows us to book our favorite resorts at the 11 month mark, which is great. In reality, though, I find myself changing resorts at 7 months fairly frequently. It's nice to own where you want to stay, though, because you never know if DVC will eventually change the rules and somehow limit booking at resorts you don't own.

I own at 4 resorts with same contract number and same use year so its fairly simple. Bank and borrow if I want a longer stay at one place. Supplement at 7 months for longer stays. Book at 11 months for harder to get nights.

After 13 years, its very easy for me. I am considering a small add on at another resort to make it 5 resorts, but may sell BCV as I never seem to stay there anymore.

We have two contracts with two home resorts and UYs. We use our 150-point BWV contract for our long trip each year and our 80-point BLT contract for long-weekend trips.

We have 4 contracts between 3 resorts. We use the 11 month Window as much as we can. We've banked and borrowed for grand villa's. We have changed at 7 months to try different resorts we don't own. Mainly we stay where we own. Inside 7 months and for short notice trips, we usually use our cheapest points for booking at other resorts saving the other points for 11 months. We own at okw, bwv and bcv and have stayed everywhere except Hawaii and the one in Carolina, used points for cruises and dl Paris.

We have 2 contracts with 3 resorts. We mainly use them seperately , but on ocassion like to book a GV and have transferred from one to another. It is my understaning or at least it was, that you can transfer between your own personal contacats as often as you wish. Not sure if that rule has changed or not but was true about a year ago.

I own at 3 resorts (VWL, BCV and BLT) and I tend to bank and borrow to stay at one of them for a stay at the 11 month window. If a year comes up where we want to stay elsewhere I tend to use my VWL points first but will take from all of them if necessary. It gets complicated but I manage it and have had no mishaps. Now saying that I am bound to have one, lol.

We own at two resorts - BLT & AK. We are on a wait list for wilderness lodge now. We stay mostly at those resorts, but for long weekends we try to get OKW. I try to keep the points separate to the resort

Up until this year, we had just done this. And, we kept out points in the banking windows, and never had to deal with expiration or holding points. With a cancellation this year, was able to do a split stay later in the year with the banked points from one contract and UY points from the other contract, and MS linked the reservations.

4 Contracts, 4 Resorts, Same Use Year. Two larger and two smaller sized contracts. We have never transferred points, but we typically do not use our points at the resorts, for long stays anyway. We do more cruises, Concierge Collection, etc. Typically stay at the resorts for a day or two here and there. One best practice I use is to try to keep the points in our largest contract, (BLT) unused until last. That way, if we do decide to take a trip to WDW, some or all of those points are available. We also try not to borrow if at all possible, or if we do borrow, I always try to keep from borrowing on one of the larger contracts, again, so that those points will remain available for use or banking if at all possible. At this point, I also do not rent out the points. We always use them. We have been members since 1999 and we have never not used, and lost, points.
