Have two reservations for an upcoming visit. One using my membership and one from another member. Other member has said they gave dvc my reservation number to link on their reservation and I did the same thing on mine. Can I call the resort to make sure they linked them together so I don't have to switch rooms? This is for SSR.

If the reservations each refer to the other, you should be set. You could call MS to check that both were so noted. Other than that, wouldn't hurt to stop at front desk when you check-In or shortly after to make sure.

I always stop at the front desk when I get there to make sure that we are in the same room.

They don’t guarantee it but we have never not been and it was all set.

Yeah MS is refusing to even check the other reservations. I've had them confirm in the past.
Since you don't control that reservation until check-in, that's standard policy. If the other owner said they asked to note your reservation on theirs, you should be good. SSR is so large that IMO, there's only a very small chance you will have to change rooms. If you check with the front desk after you arrive, they should be able to confirm that for you, or even make a change if something fell through the cracks. Try not to worry about it anymore, (if you are).

I have the same issue with a renter. Unbelievably, DIsney can't connect the reservation meaning it is possible they will need to change rooms which doesn't benefit Disney or my renter! I would stop at the front desk and walk them through the reservations. It is likely you will need to check out and back in again but hopefully no room change. Also, all of your different reservations will need to be linked to the confirm corresponding to the correct days!

They can't connect them with two member numbers. I have two member numbers and have done this several times. They can leave a note on the reservation in chat, and it should work. They don't want to pay to clean the room.

Check in with the front desk when you arrive and call the night before check out to make sure.

If one has been put in the same room there is no longer a need to go to front desk on the day that you go from one reservation to the next, unless an issue happens.

I do this a lot and the past few years it was an automatic switch in MDE. I did get the folio that morning but MBs worked fine.

Of course we do always ask day we arrive because if we weren’t put in the same room, that might be the time they can fix it! So far, never had an issue!!
