Multiple people with DAS - Same Party

I know the DAS holders have their own return times etc and they stay separate but what about the other members of the party? Can they be listed as potential riders on both DAS. I know they can’t have two returns times at once either. But they might be at the park with either DAS holder.

In the past, yes this was true, and while I haven't read any direct reports there is no reason to expect it changed. It can be decided at each attraction who is the accompanying party. The allows the larger party to split if needed or wanted for different attractions.

Agree. I don’t think it will change, but don’t know for sure.

When DAS was a paper card with just a name of guest and number of other guests in their party, they did stick pretty close to the total of 6. If a group had 2 people with DAS, usually the total number in the party would be divided between the 2 cards (so, each DAS might have DAS user plus 2.) That made it difficult if DAS users had different likes - DAS user 1 might want to go on Space Mountain with dad and the rest wanted Small World with DAS user 2. But, one person would be left out since DAS 2 only had 2 other people).

Once DAS became electronic, the specific DAS user and specific guests are linked together to that DAS. The accompanying party chosen at each attraction are linked to the specific DAS Return Time and can’t be chosen for another DAS Return Time as long as they are active on that one. So, even if the accompanying guests are linked to more than one DAS, the total number with an active DAS Return Time won’t increase.

I finally get what everyone is saying - that a DAS holder should not be able to end up with 2 simultaneous returns (one as the holder and one as the companion). I honestly hadn’t contemplated that. Was just trying to noodle through how we’ll handle DS needing DAS return for Winnie the Pooh while DSS needs one for 7D, with me and DSD2 going on Pooh while DH, DSS, and DSD2 go on 7D. Confused yet?

Here’s the scenario what popped into my head:

7D and WtP are right across from each other. “What if it turns out DSD2 and DS are ok riding Pooh without me? I could join the other three on 7D! Woo!”

But I see now why that couldn’t work, because I’d be tagged to DS’s Pooh return as a companion. Also, If DSS was also a companion on DS’s return (on top of his own 7D return) he could do both during the return window. Totally get it now. I agree that would be unfair

Not knowing the ages of your children, just want to make sure you know that children under the age of 7 yrs must be accompanied by a person 14 years or older.

No one under 7. When I wonder if they will be ok without me, it’s because of their individual special needs not their ages

This is what I was trying to ask earlier and didn't express adequately. DX and DS both require a DAS. The remaining 3 of us, DH, DD & I, can be *potential* companions of either one? Just not hold a return time under both at the same time.

As far as I know, yes you should still be able to do that.
