Multiple magic bands

So I going in oct for one day and staying at cr so inward chosen to get a magic band so I did waiting for them to ship. Staying one night at board walk inn figured thy was not testin so I was not expecting a magic band so go on and see I can order two more so you think Disney will final notice and I could pick different colors and have two sets if magic bands. I booked both night on the same account so I figured they would see I already getting them.

Also I guess board walk inn is now a resort you can get magic band if you are chosen.
 
We have a trip in 3 weeks. We have magic bands from a previous trip, and now they are sending us new ones. Will both be active? Will this cause problems?

This is funny I just posted almost the sake thing I staying at two different resort for one night stays. And first was only getting it for cr but now they give me the. Have to do one for the board walk inn. So I did and will see if they send me them both.
 
Just back from a one day stay at AOA. They gave us new magic bands when we checked in. My magic band from my first stay over a month ago worked also.

If you go onto MDE website and click on Manage Your Bands and Cards, you can deactivate a band. You can always reactivate it if you like. We only have one set of bands. Our last trip to OKW, they weren't offering them so, I was just able to use my existing band. But, I'm not sure it matters if both of them are active.

On a side note, we just had our APs expire Saturday. I was wondering how it would work linking the new AP to the band and if it would even let us at this point. Since, technically, our "testing" period had ended. On my laptop, the MDE was not cooperating at all. However, the app on my iPhone worked like a charm on the first try (who would've thought!), and I was able to make FP+ for the Princess Storybook Hall opening Wednesday. Very excited about that. :)
 
We have a split stay coming up at AoA and AKL. They sent us magic bands for both. I am bringing all of our sets because I don't know if we will need them or not (if one gets lost can we pull from the extras?), it sounds like they can set us up on one to use for the whole trip based on what you guys are saying. All our reservations are linked so I am not sure why they did that. I am also wondering why they even mail them to you...? The box was cute, but why not just have them ready for you to pick up when you check in and save the mail expense. You could still customize and have them waiting at your resort. Now it is another thing to pack and not forget.
 
It seems that at least for right now, because of the way they are activating eligibility based on resort reservations, they system is "forcing" new bands for each reservation, even on consecutive stays. Whether this continues after full rollout remains to be seen. But a CM was also quoted saying that you are supposed to get new ones with each stay, but obviously people with split stays this can actually get to be a pain.

More than likely, however, this probably only affects a small percentage of the whole guest population, AND I'm sure the cost is being rolled in to the cost of each reservation, so it's not likely high on the radar of things to fix right now given all the other complex problems they face.
 
My family and I are going down Oct 19-27 and our magic bands just came in today. Very excited.
