Multiple magic band question

Not sure which board this goes on but we were there in January and have bands. I'm now offered a magic band for our August trip, plus an AP band.

1. Is there any difference in the AP band?
2. Can we interchange the bands? ie. I have blue from January can I bring that then get a pink one and use which ever one I feel like in a day-or do I need to just choose one?
3. We are doing a split stay. First, off property (four seasons) then heading on property. if the bands are linked to our tickets on the MDE site will we have issues getting into the parks?

1. Nope. It's a regular old magic band.
2. Yep. They *should* all work. The only caveat being if you want to use a band to open the gate at a resort to park, that band needs to have been used on a room door or activated at the resort check in desk. For some reason.
3. All bands *should* work if they are linked to your MDE.
All of this is assuming things work as they *should.* I have had so many problems with magic bands, I can't even remember them all. But if you have more than 10 bands, be sure to deactivate some.

The thing to remember is that your magic band is linked to your MDE (My Disney Experience). And your tickets are also linked there.

That means that any band linked to your MDE should work. So yes, you can interchange bands. You can also decline bands, if you don't want more than one or two.

After you use your AP band, you will get a little AP slider to go on it, this will come after you get home.
