Multiple forms of payment during stay??

Usually this is a non-issue because it's just our family traveling, but in a few weeks we will be sharing a 2 bedroom villa on points with my brother and sister in law and their kids. They have a bunch of gift cards that they want to use up to settle their bill at the end of their stay. So instead of using the gift cards when they are actually purchasing they want to use their magic bands and then at the very end of our stay use their gift card for to pay their final bill.

Is there a way for them to just have their purchases taken off of their form of payment and our purchases to come off of ours??

Both families can have a CCD assigned to their bands. Then they can go to the front desk and 'pay down' their charges with the gift cards. Good luck and have a great trip.

Yes, but you would want them to set up their charges on a separate credit card, and also to go early in the stay to apply the gift cards to their account. You don’t want to wait until checkout, because they will run your card the night before you check out.

Also, there is a threshold where they will run your cards in the middle of a stay if you charge over a certain amount.

I agree - I would suggest to go to the Front Desk periodically every few days to apply the gift cards to the balance. The charges get applied to the credit card just prior to check out so waiting until the last day will be too late.

When I had gift cards in the past i just had them applied to our account when we checked in. They were reluctant at first because they wanted to be sure I would use them up completely. Once I assured them I would we started are trip with a credit and any expenses just worked the balance down. Doing it this way you won’t have to make any order trips to the desk to take care of this.
