Multiple Fastpasses??

I wish people would stop saying that this is Disney's policy but failing to provide written evidence from Disney of such a policy. Let's be careful with the language we are using as it's complicating matters. Does Disney often allow people to use FPs after the window of time given on the FP has elapsed? Absolutely. Is it an official policy that CMs must allow people to use FPs after the window of time given on the FP has elapsed? I have seen no evidence of that, just heresay.

I'm just waiting for someone, anyone to provide an official written policy that says otherwise. Can't imagine that's gonna happen though, as I don't believe any such policy exists.

Guessing there isn't a policy for police officers for not pulling people over for going 72 in a 65. Although going 72 in a 65 would be illegal, it's something that rarely gets enforced. I'm guessing people can't provide an official written policy for that either.

For those who've said they use the morning to gather fast passes for use in the afternoon/evening - help me understand the "mechanics" of how this is done.

Assuming you are there at rope drop at 8:00 am and hustle to your favorite FP attraction, it would be approximately 8:05 when your FP is delivered from the machine. Now assuming you must wait 2 hours before you can collect your second FP, it would be 10:05 or slightly later before it is deliverd by the machine. Adding another 2 hours would mean its 12:05 before you recieve your third FP ticket.

The morning is now gone and you have 3 FP tickets. Is this typical of what is meant by gathering and using later? Or are you holding some larger number FP's for later use? If its some larger number how is this accomplished? Thanks

There is no policy governing that FPs MUST be used within the window. If that rule existed, it would be enforced.

We're trying to help you guys, but you refuse to see it.

Tell you what, you guys keep playing by your self-imposed rules, and I'll play by Disney's (specifically unwritten and unpublicized) rules. If and when Disney changes their (unwritten) policy, I will adhere and alter my touring strategy. Until then, I will have a wonderful time.

Have a fastpass in my hand now from our last trip, on the back it says:

Please enter the FASTPASS entrance at the attraction between the times noted on the other side.

Cannot accept early arrivals. Valid only on the date printed.

Operating hours of the attraction are subject to change without notice.

Attraction may close temporarily without notice.

Not valid for admission to any theme park. All posted height restrictions apply for each attraction.

The langauge on the Fast Pass tickets is specific for a reason.

It says- PLEASE enter- it does not say you MAY NOT enter later.
It says- Cannot accept early arrivals. It does NOT say cannot accept later arrivals.
It says- Valid only on Date Printed because it is valid for that whole day.


The reason is Disney’s official policy - (but perhaps not publicly advertised) is to accept Fast Passes from the time the return window opens til the park closes. It is not a matter of “late” or “expired” as technically the FP does not expire til the park closes.

I have never encountered a CM who would not accept a FP past the return window- in many, many trips over many years to Disney. If I did encounter a CM who refused, I would simply ask to speak to another better informed CM. I have often been told by CMs that FP are good til park closes- just as it states on the FP ticket. Can never enter early but can always enter later then the time printed.

For those who think it is rude or cheating or hoarding or breaking the rules or a no-no- you are inferring that there is a “rule” that is simply not there. I am quite sure if Disney did not want to allow FP use from time the window opens til park closes their legal dept would have the language on the FP changed to reflect that.

I will continue to tour the smart way and use Fast Pass to it’s full advantage until Disney tells me otherwise!

You do not always have to wait 2 hrs to get the next one.

Disney has a LOT of lawyers people. The words omitted from the FP are just as key as those on the FP.

Disney will not issue a press release. The confirmation comes from several ex-CMs and anecdotes from posters that specifically asked in the parks.

Just ask a CM on a FP ride next time you're there. Tell them you may be unable to make your window and ask if that is okay. That will be your confirmation.

Have fun hoarding! Just remember, those FPs turn back into pumpkins at midnight, Cinderella! (or until normal operating hours, whichever is later)

I mean this in all sincerity, just ask a CM (or more than one CM) when you are at WDW next time. See, and hear, for yourself what they have to say. I was once a doubting Thomas and had to hear it for myself before I believed it too.

You're right. It's a law that is seldom enforced and I am often guilty of breaking it.

However, you won't find me arguing that it isn't a law or that I'm not guilty of breaking that law.

the point everyone os making is where is this policy written. we cant just make up a policy becasue it suits us and call it fact.
the fact is the policy states that you are to return in the window.
again, do what you want, but dont pretend like you dont know the way fast passes are supposed to work, or what the official policy is. do it and admit you are bucking the system...thats the point.

So if you apply that same logic, then since law enforcement officals really aren't enforcing the speed limit if you're only going a few miles over, the posted speed limit really isn't the law. Cool!

It appears that some of you think you've found a loophole of sorts. Honestly I don't even care. It doesn't impact my vacation that much one way or another. I've just sort of gotten sucked into this interesting argument. Interesting because grown people can't just admit that they've found a way around the written policy. Instead, they choose to argue that the written policy magically doesn't exist.

If you get a FP at 8:05, the return time is more than likely 8:30 or 9 at the latest. I could see a few popular rides being later (Soarin or TSM) but not your average FP ride. I can easily get 5-7 FPs in the a.m. (depending on tine of year and if I'm on-site or not) to use later AND ride those attractions in the a.m. as well.
