Hi

What happens when an owner owns more than one contract for the same resort with the same use year, does Disney consolidate them into one contract?

For example say we have 200 BLT Dec UY points and buy an additional 150BLT Dec UY points. If we were to sell down the road, could we be able to sell the 200 point contract by itself or would we have to sell all 350 since Disney would have consolidated the two contracts into one?

no. they work together like one contract (assuming they are titled the same and listed under the same membership number) but can be sold off or willed separately.

Each contract has a number. Your first contract might be 12345.0, for example.

When you buy a second one, assuming you have the same UY for both and have them both titled exactly the same (down to middle initials), the second one will be numbered 12345.1. You'd see this when you log into your DVC account and they w/b listed under your member number, each with it's own contract number.

That w/b true even if your first contract was at BLT and the second at VGF.

But in your case, since both w/b at BLT, you'd be able to seamlessly use points from both contracts for longer stays, whether booking on line or over the phone at the 11 month mark at BLT.

If you were to sell, you could sell either contract 12345.0 or 12345.1 and keep the other.

We bought contracts at our other favorite resorts, same UY, same membership. That way we can double our points by banking and stay at BLT one year using double points and BWV the next year using double points.
