We are in process of acquiring a second contract (as a re-sale). It will be for the same home resort as our existing contract but for a different UY. My understanding is that the two contracts may end up being linked by DVC (or not).
Three Questions:
(1) What are the advantages of having them linked? or not linked? Seems to me that having the contracts linked provides some advantages for booking convenience, particularly under new check-in + 7 booking rules, but does limit us to one transfer in/out (rather than 2) per calendar year. Anything else we should be considering?
(2) What needs to be done (e.g., for closing) to predispose one outcome or the other?
(3) If for some reason the two contracts are not linked by DVC but title is held by the same persons, is it a simple matter to have DVC link the contracts later?
