As a first time DCL cruiser and visitor to CC, I need your help. My plan is to book the stingray excursion for the whole family, which includes DS8, DS6 and DD4. I'm also interested in the JetSki ECO tour, parasailing and banana boat. If I recall correctly, only DS8 will be old enough for these latter excursions. How many excursions can I realistically try to do on CC? I'm thinking the stingray excursion and one other, but I'm not really sure. Can anyone give me an idea as to how long each of these excursions last? If I'm leaning towards the stingrays and the ECO tour, any suggestions as to what times I should try to book them? I'd like to squeeze in lunch if possible.

TIA

I can't answer your questions, but I do know that from the DCL website, the stingray excursion on CC is for only 5 years old and up. The stingrway excursion on Blackbeard's Cay in Nassau is for 3 and up. Hope this helps you in some way!

The stingray tour is scheduled for an hour, but the bulk of the tour takes much less time than that. The remainder of the time is reserved for snorkeling about the lagoon among the stingrays. Frankly, 10 or 15 minutes of that was more than enough for me. You can read my full report on the adventure here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=965950

Sorry, I don't have any direct experience with the rest of the excursions, but Disney's website has more information on their excursion page: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/d...Listing?name=CastawayCayExcursionsLandingPage

well i say do the stingrays, although i never have. also i would say DO PARASAILING! even though your not leaning toward it, its absolutely amazing. i dont think its scary at all. its quiet too. i didnt do anything but parasailing but it last an hour. its a must do, i personally think. hope that helps!

Be sure to leave enough time for lunch at Cookie's when you are signing up for everything. :) We haven't done any excursions on CC in 3 cruises & never seem to have enough time. With the DD we are hoping to do the stingrays. :)

We had only one excursion scheduled on our last cruise and lost track of time! We snorkeled in the morning on our own and had the jetski tour at 1pm. Well the time just flew by when we were snorkeling and before we knew it it was 12:50 and we were running late to get to our jetski tour! We only had time to grab a banana on the way and missed lunch altogether. I was pretty bummed since I was so looking forward to those lobster burgers. After our tour we went to serenity bay and that ate up the rest of our time.

Time on Castaway Cay is truly short and precious...make sure you plan wisely!

We did the first stingray excursion of the day, then lunch at Cookies, and then the 1 pm eco tour. Worked out great, but we were on the first double dip cruise. We did all this on the first day and just relaxed and enjoyed the island on the second day.
