Multiple Car Parking for DVC Resorts

My friends are going down to stay at BLT the week of September 30th. I'm coming down later on October 2nd and will be meeting up at the Halloween Party. They'll have a rental car, and so will I. When I arrive at the resort, what if anything do I need to do for a second parking pass? Do they still have the paper placards? I know that parking is still free for DVC members, but I want to make sure I get a pass so when I park at Epcot/DHS later in the week I don't have to pay. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want them to get "charged" for another car at the room.

In my experience, BLT still uses paper passes. They’d need to pick up an extra from the front desk. The guard would scan your magic band to see that you are staying at the resort and then allow you through.

At the parks, they’ll again scan your band to verify you’re staying on site for the free parking privilege.

As long as your friends are named on the room reservation, they will have no problem parking at BLT.
They usually give you a dashboard placard for parking at the parks, but if they don’t you can use your magic bands. No problem to get one for each car.

I'm heading straight to the party after parking (because can't miss a second right?) so hopefully I can get a paper one at the guard booth and don't need to deal with the front desk later on.

They really aren't giving out paper passes any more. You'll just need a magic band that shows you are on a reservation at WDW. They will scan your magic band when you enter the resort and when you enter the theme park parking lot.

I recently had this same scenario and since my friend's were on the reservation they had no issue. We actually had 3 cars for 4 people, everyone arriving at different times and since everyone was listed on the reservation it was easy. Have a great time!

Did they give you a paper for your window? I was down in February and got a window placard for GF.

Parks look at bands for the most part. Most resorts aren’t doing the paper passes, so the parking attendants are now more used to scanning bands.

So as long as your friends are on the room they are fine, too.

I’ve gone the whole trip even at a resort with paper passes without picking one up. It’s been fine.
