Hi,

I have an active premium annual pass which expires at the end of May. I plan to renew, but I will be going to the new Gold pass tier which includes Memory Maker. I'd like to use memory maker for my upcoming trip next week. Does anyone know if I can renew my pass early to start taking advantage of the included Memory maker, rather than having to purchase it separately?

I received conflicting info from Member Service. It was mentioned I could activate my new pass early and thus have two active annual passes. But, I just don't understand how that would work. Would I need two sets of magic bands (1 for my fastpasses linked to my old AP, and 1 to use for memory maker linked to my new AP)?

The AP is linked to a person listed in your MDE account. If you want prioritize admission media you need to visit a guest relations location.

You could buy a new pass and activate it any time, but you cannot renew and activate early. You could "upgrade" your current pass to one that includes photos. Regular to Gold cost me $20. I'm not sure what you'd need to upgrade your Premium pass.

Doesn't exactly matter as long as the time you can download the photos isn't a great concern. Once you get the Gold AP you'll have access to previous pictures - I believe back one year.

Another possibility if you get the right CM might be that they will let you "upgrade" your current pass to the Gold AP. No money back of course and no guarantee they will but something else to ask about if you need the pictures right away.

It would give you access to the previous year ..... If those pictures still existed. Photopass pictures expire, so when I upgraded to a Gold AP in December, all that existed of my July pictures were the stock photos that Photopass gives to everyone with each ride/experience.

Strange. I upgraded in Feb and both our Oct and Dec pictures were all there.

For the OP I don't think there is that concern though since it's somewhere around the 45 day mark.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm going to visit Guest Relations when we get down there to talk through the options. I don't want to 'upgrade' to gold because I plan to do a day of water parks this trip. I have no real immediate need to download the pictures, so it would be ideal if I could get access to them when I renew the AP the following month.
